Avoid these criminals

Please bear with this as its long I contacted Dentzz to discuss one tooth extraction and 2 implants. I communicated via WhatsApp. I had a named contact, it was helpful and reassuring having a point of contact I arranged to fly from the UK to Mumbai on the 31st March. We landed at 6am and we were picked up from the airport by dentzz and dropped at our acvomidation. That's where the positives end Our appointment was at 12 noon 6 hours after landing
The examination was indeed thorough. I was advised by dentist x. That all of my teeth were in bad condition, i was advised that 2 had infection, and that my gums were receding
And the best option was to remove them all I was shocked, all of my teeth were sturdy, no wobbles, no decay. They convinced me it was the best option. They went on to discuss costs. They quoted me £7000. For full mouth implants, including bone grafts and sinus lifts I had saved for 4 months for the work I had wanted, 1 extraction and 2 implants £1100 I was advised by (dentist x) I could in no way get 7000. They agreed not to take the bottom teeth out and to look at them when I could afford it So for all the rest, to extract 14 teeth, 5 implants, bone grafts and sinus lift. It was £4300
I had to borrow the deficit £3200 from my pensioner mother. On top of this for the work to be completed in October 2025, implant crows to be fitted, I was advised that would be another £2000 which I would have to pay at that time The same day of landing I had one tooth extraction and an implant fitted
The next day i had second thoughts I expressed my concern about them all needing to come out and of having no teeth until i got the implants completed I was advised by dentist x, that their dentures were nothing like i would get in the UK. That they were far better and that i would be very happy with them
I then had the other 13 teeth extracted. Bone grafts, sinus lifts and implants fitted The next day I was quite devastated that the teeth had gone
I realised that I had been a victim of high pressure selling from Dentzz, and that i did not need the extractions I went to see another dentist in mumbai, who did the same examinations and xrays
The only teeth I had left were the bottom ones that I could not afford. I was immediately advised that they did not need to come out, if anything just crowns The examinations showed no evidence that bone grafts had been done I had unnecessary extractions. I was heartbroken, absolutely devastated
I was given dentures, I can only describe them as looking like joke teeth. They were hideous I tried to discuss again with dentist x, but the outcome was the same. That the work was warranted and they advised me correctly I ask anyone, please please do not go to Dentzz, they are salesmen, high pressure selling It's about money and nothing else
Their interest in you wanes as soon as they have each done their bit. With dentist x who completely lost interest, barely a smile, her work was done, she scored the sale, she is the start of the process They do not look at the person in front of them, they are looking at how much they can squeeze out of you, how much they can upsell unnecessary treatment I have requested a refund from them, The emotional and financial damage, I work with vulnerable people who are at times suicidal, being able to talk to them either by phone or face to face is essential, i cannot now do this, therefore I am now on long term sick leave. I cannot wear the joke shop dentures. I am wearing face masks just to go out What dentzz have done to me is criminal Don't be pressured by them, I strongly advise to get a second opinion before committing to their advise Also
Be aware that they do have negative reviews removed I left a review on trust pilled and most of it was removed
Ask AI on Google about dentzz. It brings up many bad reviews from people just like me. Victims of dishonest practice REVIEW RESPONSE FROM DENTZ: We're saddened to read your review, especially given the factual inaccuracies it contains We feel it's important to share some context for the benefit of others reading this. You and your daughter visited our clinic on the 31st of March for a clinical evaluation, during which a thorough assessment of your dental condition was conducted. Your treatment discussion took place on the 1st of April-an entire day after your initial evaluation--not six hours after your flight, as claimed. After presenting you with multiple treatment options, you chose to proceed with the full extraction of your upper jaw due to the advanced state of gum deterioration. Your daughter was not only present during this consultation but also showed understanding and agreement with the treatment plan. For your lower jaw, only one implant was planned and placed, and we explicitly advised that your remaining teeth could be restored withcrowns-extractions were not recommended nor carried out. The costs you're quoting in your review (GBP 7,000 + 2,300) are inaccurate and do not match the signed documentation that was in line with what was shared with you on email prior to visiting our practice. We are more than willing to share the official paperwork with anyone seeking clarity, There is also a significantdiscrepancy between the medical history you initially disclosed in written and the medications you're currently taking for the condition you actually have which was disclosed by you at a later date after procedure was started. Out of respect for your privacy, we will not go into detail It is also deeply concerning that our doctor was subjected to a strange threatening interaction when a refund was demanded for procedures that were thoroughly explained andconsented to. This exchange was recorded on our CCTV, and we will provide the footage if necessary to protect our team's integrity. Despite all of this, our teamhas made an efforts to reach out and assist you-not out of obligation, but out of goodwill and a genuine desire to find a resolution. Unfortunately, although you indicated you would respond, we have not heard back We remain committed to transparency and patient care, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation. (I attempted to feedback to their above response to my review, however I was unable to figure out how to do it) THE RESPONSE I INTENDED TO PROVIDE THEM BELOW: Timeline of Consent While your records may note the treatment discussion as taking place the day after our arrival, the broader issue is the speed and pressure under which life-altering decisions were made in a foreign country, involving a vulnerable adult. Whether six hours or twenty-four, the concern lies not in the exact timing—but in the failure to fully assess mental competence and provide space for reflection or independent advice before irreversible procedures. 2. My Daughter's Presence During the Consultation Yes, my daughter was present. But being present is not the same as giving informed consent on behalf of myself. She was not my legal guardian, nor did she have medical authority. Any apparent agreement on her part came from trusting professionals to act ethically and with my best interests in mind. That trust, as has since become clear, was misplaced. 3. Nature of Treatment Your assertion that extractions were not recommended or carried out on the lower jaw is inconsistent with the post-treatment condition we returned with, and contradicts the independent dental assessment we've since received. Regardless, the main issue remains: the lack of informed and voluntary consent around major extractions and implants. 4. Mischaracterisation of My Daughter's Statement Your use of the term "threatening" to describe a spiritual and cultural expression by my daughter is deeply inappropriate. What she said was: "I come from a line that does not forget injustice… I will make things right—spiritually, publicly, and legally." These are words rooted in a cultural tradition of truth and justice—not threats of any kind. 5. Communication & Resolution A formal letter was submitted outlining our concerns and the resolution we're seeking. You reference a willingness to resolve the matter—yet we have not received any direct response to the substance of that letter. We remain open to a professional and transparent discussion. This case is not about minor misunderstandings, but a fundamental breach of trust, consent, and ethics. We invite you to engage constructively rather than defensively. If necessary, we are prepared to pursue all legal, professional, and public channels available to us. Additional Note – 6. Feedback from Independent Dentists Since returning to the UK, I have undergone evaluations by independent dental professionals. Every dentist who has reviewed the outcome of your treatment has expressed serious concern—not just about the quality of the work, but the entire premise of the procedure. One described the decision to carry out a full upper jaw extraction as "borderline criminal," given the condition of my teeth. Others stated unequivocally that they would never have recommended such a course of action, especially without comprehensive diagnostic justification. They also confirmed: There is no radiographic or clinical evidence of the bone grafts I was charged £1,600 for. The extraction and implant placement have left me unable to wear a temporary denture, resulting in significant physical discomfort and emotional distress. These professional opinions reinforce the central issue: this was not simply an unfortunate outcome—it was a deeply flawed and ethically questionable course of treatment.
