First time buy and last time shopper with this company. I will never buy anything from them ever again. If I had known their customer service was so atrocious I would have never ordered from them.

A few weeks ago, I was shopping for a item I could only find at retailers and Saks was one of the companies that was selling it. It was a bottle of 6.8 oz bottle of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris, Grand Soir, a $500 item. The package appeared to have left their shipping facility at a reasonable duration of time, and it showed to be delivered on schedule. However, when I picked up the box it was completely empty. Saks Fifth Avenue had used a company called OnTrack and during its shipping at some point someone had ripped open the side of the box and removed the item. When I contacted Saks customer service, they said they would open up a case and get back to me. No idea how long it would take or any resolution for my issue at that time, but I had a bad feeling. Any company that has to "open a case" instead of resolving the issue at the time the customer calls had me worried.

Five days later they contacted me via email saying they had decided to not issue any type of refund or make any attempts to solve the problem. It was somehow my fault the item was stolen during the delivery process, and I was expected to pay $5oo for an empty box. Since there was no one to talk to and they didn't care about making any other efforts to resolve, even after I told them I had video footage of the delivery and the way the carrier was holding the box and swinging it around you could tell it was empty. I also offered to send them pictures of the box opened from one end but note of that mattered.

I would not recommend using this company for any purchases online. If you don't get the item they do not care as long as they have their money.

During Black Friday, Saks online promoted complimentary gifts as part of a beauty purchase. After placing order on 11/29, Saks immediately emailed that the purchased item was shipping but the complimentary gifts were delayed. I contacted them via chatbot on 12/14 and they said they are still checking the status. Saks finally emailed on 12/18 to state that the gifts were cancelled. I made the purchases based on the Black Friday promotion and now it's too late to purchase elsewhere with similar offers. After contacting Saks, they said there is nothing they can do. Meanwhile, their site was offering $50 Saks GC for the same purchases. When I mentioned this on the call, the rep and supervisor both stated that is not an available substitute. This is a bait and switch to get people to buy and they are not taking any accountabilities for not delivering on the promotion. And had Saks provided an update sooner, I could have made my purchases elsewhere with similar promotions but now it's too late. The only option is returning the purchases and there is 1 physical store in NJ which is inconvenient without a car.

Beware of shopping at Saks. Refunds require a 30 day waiting period from the time that Saks receives the return to date the refund is issued. I'm not aware of any major retailer who holds your money for 30 days.

Horrible Experience
September 6, 2024

I usually don't write reviews for bad purchases, but I felt compelled to share my experience with this one. I wish I could rate them as zero. I purchased a Strathberry bag on August 24,2024, which was supposed to be delivered by August 29. I was excited to receive my bag, but when it arrived on the 29th, I discovered that Saks had sent me the wrong item—a Versace robe instead of the bag I ordered.

It was difficult to reach a live representative, so I resorted to using the virtual chat feature. The representative I spoke with asked me to send a picture of the incorrect item, which I did. He then offered me the option to either keep the robe for 10% of its price or return it to Saks. I requested that they send me the original item I ordered, as it was not my fault that the wrong item was sent, but the rep informed me that they only handle returns, not reorders. I also asked if they could offer a discount since I was looking forward to using the bag that weekend, but he said no. The most they could do was waive the return shipping fee (as if the mistake was mine).

I returned the item on the same day I received it, August 29,2024. On September 3, I received an email from Saks stating that they had received my return and would process a refund after reviewing the package. Today, I chatted with another representative via text, only to be told that the refund could take up to 30 days.
This experience has been extremely disappointing. SaksFifthAvenue has lost a customer. I've shopped with other stores that acknowledge their mistakes and make efforts to correct them, but Saks has been the worst. Be aware that if you receive the wrong item from Saks, they won't reorder the correct one for you. Instead, you'll have to go through the hassle of returning the wrong item, wait weeks for a refund, and then reorder the item yourself. I have a case # with them and I hope they see it. Case #*******

Orders/returns
September 5, 2024

HORRIBLE HORRIFIC return policy. I had ordered 5 gowns (bc there are simply nothing in stores). I literally returned (4) of them the day after received. They received them. So they have the merchandise back it's already a month for the 1 dress & still NO refund. I call I chat they state 30 days. Which is ridiculous If they have merchandise and you can clearly see NEVER worn as that Robbin is attached still and obviously returned the day after received. They charge you to send back as well. So by the time you get your refund it's even costing more bc your getting finance charges on that money TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and NO one seems to care. Mind you this is over $ 2000.00. Never Again. ZERO customer service

Extreme late credit for return
August 27, 2024

I returned a purchase to Saks and received an email that it was received by August 6. When I called after two weeks I was told that I would not receive my money for 30 days. A new policy that wasn't on their website. Unbelievable and unconscionable!

NEVER AGAIN!
August 2, 2024

ABSOLUTELY PITIFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I received a return confirmation email on 7/11/2024 stating it will take 10-14 business days to receive a refund on an expensive pair of shoes. 16 business days later, I reached out and they are asking for another 21 BUSINESS DAYS just to give me a refund. I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! They are holding several hundred of my dollars, this is highly unethical and unprofessional. PITIFUL to say the very least! 0 stars! Please see attached for proof.

My first experience with Saks Fifth Avenue has been very disappointing. We do not have a store in my area and can only purchase online. I was very excited to order a Farm Rio dress, as I have other dresses of the same brand. The quality is typically fantastic. Unfortunately I received the dress with a broken zipper. I was so disappointed because it fit perfectly and was beautiful otherwise.

I contacted customer to inquire about an exchange, even offered to pay for the replacement until the damaged item was received and then refunded. Sadly, customer service said they do not do replacements and I would have to return the item, receive a refund, and then purchase again. Sort of a pain but not the end of the world. Customer service asked for pictures of the damaged zipper, which I provided. They started a return ticket and emailed me a return label. I immediately boxed the item and shipped it the next day with their return label. I waited a week and had not received any return notifications. Luckily I saved the receipt from Fed Ex with the tracking number. The packages showed delivered. I contact customer service again, they stated they had no record of initiating a return, I provided the tracking number of the label they provided, and the representative said it was an incorrect tracking number and couldn't be tracked. I emailed them a screenshot of the tracking showing proof of delivery and a signature from their return department. I called again a day later to follow up and they had to escalate my return ticket to a manager. After 2 days of no response I called again and was told my ticket was under review and I should receive my credit in 5-7 days. I called again 8 days later to be told it was still under review. At that point I contacted PayPal and made a dispute. Needless to say this has been a one month process and I finally received full reimbursement from PayPal, Saks made it easier as they never responded to PayPal's request for information.

Buyers beware, Saks has absolutely terrible to deal with. I wish I could give a 0 star rating. I'm baffled how they manage to stay in business!

ALWAYS a problem
June 15, 2024

Every single time I order from Saks recently there is a problem. From coupon codes being lies, a new cardholder offer not being given to me a second time when THEY "sold out" of a pricey purse that I attempted to purchase, canceled items in several of my orders
That have "sold out," to two problems now with their Klarna service, I think I am about done. I have already been steering clear of them when they upped their free shipping threshold to $200 and on top of that charge you $9.95 per return. Talk about greed! At least give your loyal long time customers some perks around those ridiculous shipping costs. I have been shopping at Nordstrom or Bloomingdale's lately, both of which I've had ZERO problems with and they offer free shipping and returns. Saks is digging its own grave with its customers. I personally have really pulled back from shopping with them… it's not worth their hassles or constantly losing my $ when I simply want to return an item that doesn't fit! Since they closed so many stores I have to return thru a shipping service! They suck! Steer clear or you're asking for problems that you don't need.

Do not shop at saks
June 12, 2024

I am a platinum member with Saks. I will never shop at Saks again. I purchased a pair of Valentino shoes ($520) that broke the first time I wore them. I tried returning them to the store, and was told I have to send damaged items back and can't return at the store? What? I sent them back, and after 4 weeks received them back saying they would not return because they had been worn. There was no signs of wear, other than broken thong. I called, and they refused to credit my account and I was told the warehouse has the final word. What? I disputed on my credit card, and they said it was not returned within their return policy time frame. This was not a return, this is damaged merchandise. Do not ever shop at Saks online. There are plenty of other reputable stores for me to spend my money

Worst Experience
May 9, 2024

Saks Fifth is absolutely horrible. I purchased a jersey jumpsuit online. The item came and I could tell I was probably going to return it. Saw that it had some loose threading along the seam and returned the item. The first time I sent it, they returned it stating the damage was caused by customer wearing the item. I called the representative, they told me I was supposed to email a picture prior to returning if the item was damaged. After stating nowhere in their return policy does it state that and emailing pictures of the damage, they sent me a second return label and case number. I get an email a few weeks later of denial of return, again saying it was worn but now saying it had dirt on the leg bottom. I called again, the representative was kind but at the end of the day unhelpful as she kept repeating a third return would only result in the warehouse holding the item. She then said I could return it in the store if it's within 30 days, which it obviously was outside of the window. This whole process was about 3 months. I have only purchased an item from Saks once before for earrings and was only doing so for the Amex credit. Will definitely have to let this credit go as this all was not worth it at all. Avoid this scam of a store

I ordered a $1000 dress to wear to my daugher's wedding; I returned it 3 days later in PRISTINE condition. I called them 3 weeks later after no refund and they said they received it, and would research why no refund yet. Then it turned up on my front step a few days later RUINED! Drink spills all over it, blue pen mark, zipper pulled out! They said I wore it, ruined it, and then asked for a refund! The enclosed note also said they hoped I would understand why no refund. After multiple calls to Customer Service they said it's really my word against the Receiving Warehouse that HAS A F RATING WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! When I protested the charge with my credit card they said this is a growing trend with Saks Fifth Avenue... COMPLETELY UNTRUSTWORTHY! Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman would never do this!

So bad
April 12, 2024

They are as bad as everyone says they are. If you buy anything make sure to use a credit card so that you can file a chargeback if it's not like it's supposed to be. Good luck with these pieces of crap

Think twice!
I received my order from Saks online, and upon opening it noticed severe damage to my item. I immediately contacted Saks l, made them aware of the issue, provided pictures as requested by the customer service operator and was sent a return label, which was prepaid. The item was excepted for return due to damage. The same day I received the item I returned it within two hours! Fast-forward a week later to March 6,2024. I received an email stating they have accepted my return. I waited two more weeks and did not receive a refund, so I contacted them. They informed me that it would take 10 to 14 business days, it is now March 28,2024, which is exactly 17 days after they accepted my return and I still do not have a refund. I reached out to customer service which is of course overseas operator, (they give them no power to refund) so I was told I would have to wait up to another seven business days for them to file an escalation so I can get a refund! This is beyond ridiculous for a multi million dollar luxury company! The 10 to 14 business day return policy is ridiculous enough as it is but it only adds insult to injury that I have to go out of my way to send multiple emails and make multiple phone calls after the 17th day only to be told it could take another seven business days, or quite possibly longer to get the money that they owed me because they are waiting to hear from their vendor""! The bottom line is, I will never order from sack again and you should strongly consider it as well! If I could give zero stars I would. Also, you can't get anyone on the phone that has any kind of authority within the company, they do not give out names to managers etc. NO corporate numbers with people who are accountable. It's a specifically designed beehive to send you around in a circle chasing your own tail until they feel like giving you your money back or you forget and they keep it! You have to contact your bank and do a charge back which I quite possibly might have to do to get my refund!

"I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company, which I feel compelled to share. I returned a pair of shoes over three months ago, which the company confirmed they received. However, despite multiple checks with PayPal and direct communications with the company, I have yet to receive my refund. Both entities claim that a refund was processed, but my account tells a different story. It's disheartening to see that not only am I out of pocket for the cost of the shoes, but the shoes themselves are no longer in my possession. Buyers should exercise caution when dealing with this company, as their practices have proven to be questionable in my experience."

As a seasoned online shopper, I have encountered my fair share of disappointing experiences, but none quite as appalling as my recent encounter with Saks.com. From the onset, it became evident that this so-called luxury retailer is more concerned with deception than delivering quality service to its customers.

Let's start with their gift card policy, a labyrinth of deceit cunningly hidden in the shadows of ambiguity. Upon making a purchase, I was greeted with the illusion of a "free" gift card, only to discover later that returning items would render this card worthless. The lack of transparency regarding this policy is not only appalling but downright deceptive. It's evident that Saks.com cares more about trapping its customers than earning their trust.

But wait, it gets worse. Not content with merely misleading customers, Saks.com takes it a step further by labeling the gift card as "free" in the order confirmation, despite charging unsuspecting shoppers for it. This deliberate attempt to deceive customers is nothing short of despicable and showcases the utter disregard Saks.com has for its clientele.

And let's not forget the cherry on top: their abysmal customer service. Attempts to resolve these issues with Saks.com were met with indifference and incompetence, leaving me no choice but to seek assistance from external parties.

In conclusion, Saks.com embodies everything that is wrong with online retail: deception, dishonesty, and a blatant disregard for customer trust. I implore anyone considering shopping with them to think twice and opt for retailers that prioritize honesty and integrity over deceit and deception.

Save yourself the headache and avoid Saks.com at all costs. Your wallet and your sanity will thank you.

Received a Damage Clutch and now being accused of it
Every year my husband has an annual company trip in January. I purchase a plethora of items online from various retailers and return everything I end up not using. Long story short, I purchase a clutch from Saks on 1/17 and it gets delivered on 1/19. However there is a huge stain on the inside of the purse! So I go online that night and immediately put in a return request and select the product is damaged reason. We have to leave for my husband company trip on 1/21. Since I have so many other errands to do before we leave I decide I'll return it when we get back on 1/25. On Feb 12 I get a refund for heels I returned with the clutch. Which immediately I think is odd since the clutch was returned in the same box as the heels. I contact customer service online to inquire abs the say it's still processing so give it the full 14 days. After 14 days I contact customer service again online to inquire about the return and they say it's still being processed and to wait the full 21 days! It was first 14 days now it was 21. Before the 21st day I get a package in the mail it the damaged clutch and letter in the box saying they could not accept my return! I am upset at this point so I call Saks to explain I did not damage the cloth and ask them why they didn't do any due diligence before accusing me of damaging the clutch that I received damaged in the first place. I was frustrated and upset being accused for something I didn't do. I asked them to track who purchased the item before me because they failed to inspect the item before sending it out me. I went through my emails to explain the date sequence of when I received the product to when I went immediately after I received the product to request the return because I noticed it it was damaged right away.
My frustrations stem from the fact that Saks never reached out to me once to investigate and do their due diligence before making the determination that I was the reason for the damaged product. I reached out multiple times and kept being told to follow up on another date. And the sheer fact that I am being accused of damaging a $400 clutch that was sent to me damaged in the first place is appalling!

I recently attempted to return a coat bought online for my daughter, but unfortunately, the process was far from smooth. The store warehouse rejected my return, claiming that the coat had been worn. However, they provided no details or photographic evidence to support this assertion.

Despite multiple calls to Customer Service and email exchanges—including pictures I took to verify the coat's original condition—no resolution was reached. The lack of transparency in their decision-making process left me surprised and frustrated.

DO NOT SHOP THERE!
February 20, 2024

DO NOT SHOP THERE! It used to be a trustworthy store/website but not anymore! I returned pants and email stated that a refund will take up to 7 days. I didn't get my money back and didn't get any response to my emails. So I chatted with representative and she told me it will take up to 14 days. 14 days passed and nothing. I chatted with another representative who told me up to 21 days. When I brought up the previous story he just repeated himself like a robot that it will take up to 21 days.
The pants I've got was the last one, they put it back on their website in the same day as they got it back but didn't proceed with the refund.
