Never been more angry
January 8, 2025

We got an insurance claim from the post office accounting service center. I called them to try to get some problems resolved, and I can't even talk to a real person because the automated system keeps hanging up on me because it can't understand me because it's not asking me questions about what I actually need to do And there's no way to find a person or talk to a person get your system fixed

Paid for a P.O.Box and they rented me one that belonged to another customer. They charged me for 6 months and refused to refund my money and refused to let me speak to Postmaster.

My encounters with USPS delivery have been a mixed bag. On the plus side, USPS offers affordable and widely accessible delivery services, serving communities across the nation. Additionally, their extensive network provides comprehensive coverage, reaching even remote areas. However, there are areas for improvement. USPS's delivery reliability can be inconsistent, with some packages experiencing delays or getting lost in transit. Furthermore, customer service responsiveness can vary, with long wait times and limited support options. Overall, while USPS offers convenience and accessibility, enhancements in reliability and customer service would further enhance the delivery experience.

Over the course of the last few years I have become more and more bothered by the attitude and commitment to public service by the USPS. When my Grandfather worked for the Post Office during the 1930's through the 1950's there was a pride in performing tis vital public service, and that commitment toward service was enhanced by the USPS inspectors watching and investigating to ensure the job was being done properly. Now there is, apparently, little to no oversite. If you go to the USPS website to report a problem or concern you may fill out screen upon screen of information outlining the issue, at the end you key in to submit the report and (maybe it just happens to me) there is some glitch and the system is unable to process the report. If you try to report an issue through the Postal inspectors website you may get the report submitted, as of now I've gotten e-mails from several different offices of USPS telling me they are investigating and will contact me soon. Please forgive me if I don't hold my breath in anticipation. One last area or issue is package delivery, since last November (2023) I have placed several orders online that were shipped via USPS. The packages get here, there is a note in my mailbox that there was no safe place for delivery. Now the apartment complex where I live have a rather large number of post boxes for delivery, as no surprise, a box for every apartment. Additionally there is a second group of larger boxes for packages that would not fit in the regular box, I know they are there, I see them every day, and have had packages delivered there before. For some reason the person contracted to the USPS will not deliver to these boxes, and have never given any reason for the refusal. It ain't my Grandfather's Post Office.

Have had a PO Box for 40 years at the Methuen PO. Their pricing has gone up from about $10 to over $300 annually. Most costly PO Boxes around! The lines are out the door if you have to use the window...I typically have to visit 3 times before I can pick up a package due to a notice.

Today, on my 3rd try to pick up my two packages, I encountered a pissy 20 something year old at the counter. I gave him my slips and he came back with one package. He said he couldnt find the other one. He said he would put another slip in the box if they found it - I said I didn't I wasn't interested in that. I asked whether he could look again. He was pissy and said that Oh Well, I will look again, and in sort of disgust and knowing he wouldn't find it, he went to the back and indeed found it. I said that gee, I guess it was back there or something similar. He said that it wasn't in the correct place. Of course, maybe he didn't look in the area where items had to be signed for... So I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANTYHING TO DO WITH THIS POST OFFICE and will be cancelling my PO Box and changing everything associated with it. It is too much work to have to wait in long lines or come back numerous times, just to have a pissy employee give me lip and attitude.

HORRIBLE EMPLOYER!
February 1, 2024

I worked temporarily for the post office at 1515 Crickets Ave in Lubbock, Texas. I had to quit due to excessive arthritis that got a LOT worse doing this job! It took forever for me to get my first paycheck I was told that I would receive a second paycheck, but they've been giving me the runaround about my second paycheck.

Extremely unsafe work location. We were told that there were at least 5 guys who work there that sexually harass female employees. They claim that it's extremely difficult to do anything about these sexual predators because of the union.

Also, there are a lot of homeless people that hang around this location and they harass employees as well as break into employees cars. Another reason that I felt was important for me to quit this job. No one should work in such an unsafe work environment!

Thought it would be easy to order stamps online. NO. Did an online order on 1/6. Order wasn't even processed until 1/8, when it stated it was "in process". For 5 days. Now it just says the package is "in the system - late". On the order page the ship time was listed as 3-5 business days. It has been over a week and no stamps, and I have no idea where they are. I live in CA and they are being shipped from Kansas City MO...seriously? Doesn't my local post office have what I ordered? Is it not possible for them to just put a sheet of stamps in with my mail and call it a day? Who knows if I will ever get my stamps and it is a whole rigamarole to even get a refund. The post office used to treat our mail as the very important LEGAL entity it is. Just like everything else these days - who cares? Ammiright?

We have a clusterbox in our neighborhood. Mail and packages are consistently placed in other people's mailbox. The rural carrier always marks things as delivered, but I either get the packages two days later or they are in someone else's box. I am not the only one this happens to.

No address change insight
December 30, 2023

I'm writing this review for the 6013 Benjamin Rd. Ste 202 Tampa, FL *******-5175 location because this is the address of the post office that is on the letter I received three times, I can't find the 3rd letter) and I'm very confused about it. I have never physically went to this location. My name is Tiffany Kirkland I recently moved to my current address on 11/17/23 I have been struggling with the USPS about changing my address. I went to the postal office located in palm springs FL, lake Worth FL, and Miami FL; first time I went to lakeworth location I also picked up my mailbox keys, I showed them my lease and my driver's license. A few days later, I received a letter to the address i'm currently living at, saying I need to go to the post office and show my ID, which I already did when I went initially, but okay...so I went to the palms springs location, presented my lease and my ID, with change of address form, a few days later, I got the same letter in the mail, again saying I need to come in and show my ID, so I went to Miami location post office, showed my ID again... I received the same letter in the mail, I don't understand why I keep getting letters saying I didn't have my ID or additional identification is needed, when I presented it each time, I never had this much trouble changing my address in the past, im not sure if this is some kind of joke, but I can only assumed it's because of lack of training or intentionally. Meanwhile I probably won't get my W-2 so I can file my taxes or any toll charges that I may have. I have been trying to contact places on my own to change my address myself, it's been three months now and still no address change.

The U.S. Postal service has become a total nightmare since DeJoy was appointed.
On May 6,2020, the bipartisan USPS Board of Governors, all selected by Trump and confirmed by the Senate, announced DeJoy's appointment as postmaster general and CEO, despite concerns about conflicts of interest.
I mailed a package on December 12th by U.S. Priority Mail, and Registered, to make sure the item was delivered promptly and safely. The receipts show delivery was to be on Saturday, December 16th. It is now the 23rd of December and it has yet to be delivered. The package left Florida and has circled the entire Eastern section of the state of Pennsylvania for 5 days now, and is still headed to another facility with no date as to when the package will be delivered.
I have given the USPS the benefit of the doubt on numerous occasions. Last year, as I watched on my cameras, they delivered a package to me in a clear plastic bag. When I retrieved it and took it out of the bag, the smell of urine was so strong I vomited! I put the package back in the bag and filed a complaint. I was reimbursed the cost of the item, but not the postage I paid. The postal service never came to pick up the nasty package, and it sits in my shed as evidence to this day. I've also kept a video recording of a package left in the rain and I'm thinking I should put it on the Internet for all to see how disrespectful the United States Postal workers have become under DeJoy.

Moving Forward
November 29, 2023

The USN instilled that SOLUTIONS SHOULD ACCOMPANY COMPLAINTS!
Finally, I've decided to cut several cords, to decrease my loss of money, frustrations, and nondelivery of my bills for several months. In doing so I advanced into the online banking method.
This decision will alleviate my paying late fees and stop payment fees. The USPS has lost my trust; and I'm certain many others share my experiences with this failing and inefficient government operation. It seems to have served its useful purpose.

Where Is My Mail?
October 15, 2023

Geez,... Pony Express speed service... now in silly trucks with no air conditioning.
Most of the USPS network is functional... always number one in Dot Gov web traffic too.
Update: Now my Post Office burned to the ground.
No temporary trailer, no info on where my mail is, no disaster response.

Worst ones besides fedex.
September 15, 2023

I don't like you can't talk to a live person by chat if you don't want to call. It's hard to email them without going through a bunch of crap. Should be able to just simply send an email to customer service about anything. My packages keep being delayed by DAYS. A package will be an hour or 2 away from me 1 day, but it takes another week or so to be delivered to me. How does that make sense? Beyond tired of them.

Unprofessional Employee
September 8, 2023

The post office worker delivering mail this afternoon at the apartment complex I live in was backed into the handicap spot in front of the mail kiosk. The employees abuse these handicap spots on a regular basis. I said something to him about it and he just ignored me like it was no big deal. I asked him if he was going to move the vehicle and he told me I'm not allowed to harass postal employees. Advising him that he's not supposed to abuse handicap parking spots is not harrasement. I asked him for his name and he told me I don't need to know his name so I took his picture. After I took his picture, he pulled out his phone and took my picture. Very unprofessional. He acted as if he was going to the complex office to show them my picture. That is harrasement of residents.

Package was scheduled to be delivered 08-07-23. Called CS to find out status. Package was in Los Angles, CA. Tracking package it goes from distribution center to distribution center. Now on 08-09-23 package is still in California. I am in Texas. All I get from customer service is package is on its way with no expected delivery date. It was shipped "ground advantage" and no one can tell what the advantage is shipping this method other than it was to be delivered in 3 to 5 days. Delivering by horse would be faster. One CS person named Ben hung up the phone on me and had no answers to 99% of my questions. I have called 4 times with no answer other than "it is in its way." Why pay someone who cannot give answers. What a waste of flesh and money. No wonder they are financially in the "red."

A Great Example of A Failing Government
June 16, 2023

The USPS motto is "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
Too bad they don't actually uphold this motto. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of their employees don't even know this motto. These government employees act anyway they please and they get away with it. It's a great example of how the government has been failing this country for the past 25 years. They can't even deliver mail properly. It's just a joke.
I've had mail carries mark my packages as undeliverable because it was raining or snowing and they didn't want to get out of their car. I've complained (with evidence) and I might as well just complain to a wall. It's pointless. When a country can't even manage their own employees and basically let them run a muck like badly behaved children, you know we're all doomed.

I scanned the qr code on an outgoing package. It took me to a webpage. I filled in the data requested. It was implied that a carrier would come upstairs in a highrise to get packages, which was not my understanding. When I finished filling out the form, the page said it was "processing" forever til I gave up. Nothing that data intensive was happening. Typical USPS website malfunction, at the critical last step and for no reason.

New review
I appreciate USPS, but their online feature to reschedule a delivery failed. It does say that you have to reschedule by a 2:00 am for "same day" delivery. OK. I scheduled a redelivery before 11:00 pm the day before my time. I went through their numerous arcane steps, including "reviewing" AND "confirming" the redelivery instructions. A pop up came on the screen saying this "service wasn't available" at this time. An online scheduling service wasn't functioning at a certain time? I noticed then that it said I had to reschedule a delivery before 2:00 am CST (Central Standard Time) for the "same" day. It had been the day before my time. My time is five hours before Central Time. This is all done by computers. 11 pm the night before is plenty of time. What does Central time have to do with Hawaii?

The system also said that if I did this after 2:00 am CST the redelivery would be pushed forward to the following day. OK. It wasn't though. The scheduling function was just unavailable. So no redelivery was scheduled. Yuck!@#₹%&

DELIVERY ISSUE
November 3, 2022

USPS (Houston) delivery has became a real bad issue. The 1st time, I paid 2 days priority for my package and it wasn't delivered on time as they promised/and with the rate I was being charged. The 2nd times, I sent another package on 10/31/2022 and since they delayed my first package, I decided to pay for the 3 days delivery. On 11/03/2022, I checked the tracking number, and it says my package in still intransit (In Houston). Are they not doing their job?

Ive been a postal employee for 7 years now. I have degrees, certifications, training, and experience working in the I. T. field. But despite having that i cannot get any I. T. jobs i apply for, within the postoffice. Im always told "not recomended by selection commitee" i dont even get the opertunity to interview for the job postings. Yet other people i know who kiss $#*! and have friends and or relitives higher up are getting jobs with ZERO experience or training. Its all about who you know i guess.
