To start, our dog was recently diagnosed with DCM (Dilated Cardio Myopathy). For those of you who, like me, had never heard of this before, it is basically an enlarged heart that beats weakly and irregularly. So, our dog was given a few different prescriptions, including one that was hard to find. Not all online animal pharmacies carry it. In fact, most don't. The reason why we don't want to keep buying the medication directly from the cardiac vet is because it is at least an hour drive EACH WAY. Cardiac vets are few and far between. Anyway, when VetRxDirect received our order, they faxed the authorization request to the coronary vet a total of 3 times, with no response! My husband called the vet and they told him that their fax was VERY UNRELIABLE. So, VetRxDirect and I were emailing back and forth. Once I found out that the fax basically didn't work at the vet's office, I told VetRxDirect to call the main number to get the authorization, which they did. Now, above and beyond... we had paid for 2-3 business days shipping because we were about to run out of pills at home. But it was taking our vet so long to get the prescription authorized, so once VetRxDirect got the authorization, they shipped it NEXT DAY DELIVERY, which made it so we had the prescription in hand just in the nick of time, as we had given our dog the last capsule we had that morning! I can't thank VetRxDirect enough for what they did. If not for them, our poor dog might not have made it to another day. The prescription medication regulates her heartrate. She needs it to live. VetRxDirect has a customer for life.

Terrible Return Policy

This was the only company in the country that sells the food my dog needed to be fed through his peg tube. Because of this and the amount of time it takes to recieve an order, I had to order in advance. On my pets last vet visit, he was given the go ahead to come off the tube. I did not know this was coming... nor could I risk it as this is the only place to buy the food. I have the box of food that cost 218 dollars unopened... just received and they will not accept the return. This is another way to just take advantage of people who are paying exhorbitant sums already just to keep their pets alive. Shame... shame on you.

Don't waste your time!

I have a legitimate prescription for my pet bird, from a licensed avian veterinarian, and the clowns at VetRxDirect refused to fill it because it is off label. That simply means my pet bird needs to take a medicine that is formally approved for dogs and cats. Guess what... this is extremely common in veterinary medicine! Pet birds are prescribed 'dog and cat' pills all the time. I marched my $220.00 order right on over to another site, which happily filled it after confirming the details with my vet. Don't waste your time on VetRxDirect, they're not worth it.

I placed my order on the 22nd and tracking says I will not get it until May 2. It is unacceptable to have to wait 10 days for needed medicine!

There has been some delay issue every time I have placed an order, 5 orders. All of the delays could have been prevented if they just picked up the phone and called me as I have requested at least 3 or 4 times.

Seems I'm not the only one that has had delay issues. The BBB shows similar complaints along with their reluctance to make a phone call dating back 3 years. Why haven't they fixed the problem?

These ongoing issues could be resolved by adding this to their process:
-Ask the customer if they would rather be contacted by phone or email and adhere to their request.
-If you haven't gotten back a response to your email, phone call, or fax within 24 hrs., call the customer.

These ongoing delays are putting our beloved pets at risk.

Outstanding Customer Service
March 5, 2021

When my package arrived, it looked like the FedEx man played rugby with it earlier in the day -- severely damaged. That evening I notified VetRxDirect what happened -- and they responded within minutes. They were so overwhelmingly friendly and helpful in taking care of this and making it right. Though this was obviously an error made by the 3rd party, they took complete ownership for it, and had outstanding communication in making sure a replacement was sent as quickly as possible.

Around the holidays I didn't realize I had 1 day left of my pets meds... I knew the holiday break meant it might be 7-10 days before I could get my order, but I mentioned the urgency in my order, and they sent it to me same day so I would get it before the holiday!

These folks are really amazing... they definitely value and take care of their customers.

I have rarely had such a gratifying response from a company in dealing with a difficult and confusing situation. Somehow two different scripts for the same medication were on file at the VetRx pharmacy for my cat. The pharmacist caught the discrepancy right away and with the help of Kaylee, an ace staffer, proceeded to clarify and resolve the situation. In addition to this, they even expedited shipment of the medication since the order had experienced delays. I am grateful for how responsible and responsive VetRx and Kaylee were in seeing that my cat received (a critical) medication on time.

I'm amazed at the high level of costumer service! I called them because I press the wrong button when I order a Visbiome probiotic. I want an upgrade in one bussines day! And they told right away they will send it to me in one bussines day so they fix the problem without hesitation or asking me more! The package was amazing it arrived cold! It came with like 3 layers of temperature protection! I was Woow! And inside there was like a tag with like a thermometer telling me the temperature. There was instructions in case the marker was no good, to contact them! Just wow now I feel that Visbiome will work at its best with all the bacteria alive! Thank you so much for the amazing costumer service! You got me as a costumer for life!

I had a great experience using Vet RX direct. I was given a choice for a time slot for next day delivery, and they texted me updates on when my order was en route and when it was arriving. The box was beautifully packed, with a card with my cat's name on it, a small catnip toy and, most importantly, very thorough and clear directions. Excellent!

Had to cancel my order today after 9 days of waiting for my order to ship. My vet said that they faxed approval 7 days ago. I have an issue EVERY time i order from them. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Horrible customer service

I communicated with customer service a few times in the course of setting up a prescription, and they were always prompt and kind. I appreciate how rapidly they reply to emails (the last thing anyone wants to have to do is call someone these days!) and follow up.

The initial order was primarily to secure some BD pet syringes. They are becoming hard to find and I like the ease of using them on my cats because the needles are stronger than most needles if you have an animal that's being difficult. I have two diabetic cats but I wasn't entirely sure Sophie was diabetic until yesterday and once Kayleen had that information she contacted my vet. She was patient with me when navigating a new vendors website and it was challenging. Again she was patient with me.

I am a new customer. Was extremely disappointed with the declining service I have received from my previous online vet store for the past 3 years. I had been waiting over a week for the previous company to get back to me after the promised a same day resolution to a mess up, Got fed up and found Vet RX Direct. The entire process was seamless. I spoke with the nicest agent, Tyler, who confirmed all was set. I got my order a few days later. Meanwhile, it's almost 2 weeks not and that other company in which I had been a loyal customer, has STILL not gotten back to me.

We needed Visbiome Vet probiotic, which we had previously bought from vet. This time, we called VetRX, after learning they carried the same thing, less expensive, and shipped second day service, with cold pack as it needs refrigeration to stay fresh. I spoke with Tyler in Customer Service. He was knowledgeable, kind, and caring. There was a problem putting my credit card through, and Tyler said he'd try it again in the morning (after I found out from credit card company that no order had been received). Tyler called me back next morning and told me all was well and the card went through just fine. We don't know what caused the problem before, but it's all fixed now. Tyler was so kind, reassuring, friendly, and I felt like I was talking to a member of my own family.

Between the intuitive website interface, multiple medication formulas available, optional medication reminders and customer service, VetrxDirect does it the best. My parent has a cat with hyperthyroidism and we need the topical form of the medication which is hard to come by. VetrxDirect always handles orders effectively and they work with the Vet to make sure medications can be sent out quickly. I continue to be impressed and thankful.

I went to my vet today to pickup my dog's medication and they were out of Visbiome probiotic. I need this in order to start the antibiotic my baby needs to be on for the next 10 days. They recommended I order it from VetRx Direct. I went online to order it and realized it was after the daily shipping deadline and with the holiday next week it would be unlikely that I would get this medication any time soon. In a panic, I started a chat with Kylie who confirmed that I'd missed the shipping deadline and the soonest I would get the order with normal shipping would probably be January 6th. She then gave me the option to upgrade the shipping to next day and she'd see if she could get my shipment out today for delivery tomorrow as their carriers hadn't yet picked up for the day. To my surprise, she was able to process my order right away and get the meds to her shipping department in time. I will have the order tomorrow. Thank you, Kylie!
