The free version was fine. When I paid for Handshake Plus I canceled the job ad within 3 days as they were charging $25 a day, and I was not getting better candidates. I have a very stressful practice and work with a lot of homeless people. I was trying to hire a student. I didn't get better candidates than I get with the free version. I just checked my credit card statement two weeks ago, because I work all the time and I saw endless charges from Handshake. They never sent any invoices saying i was being charged. I have numerous times emailed various emails I have for Handshake. I feel they don't care about you as a customer and just want your money. I've been locked out of the account even for the free job posting and they are "blackmailing me" that I cannot use their services again unless the money I disputed is paid. I took a screenshot of the ads, with dates, that I posted before being locked out. The last email I got from Scarlett was unhelpful and revealed this company lacks transparency. I was told turning the job ad off does not stop the Plus charges. I don't understand why not. I didn't use any other services and was paying for a daily job ad that I stopped. I asked why starting a free job ad stops the Handshake Plus with no response. I have a prior email from a prior posting that states when you close the job it stops the payments. I feel I've been treated unfairly and this company lacks transparency. The billing is strange too with sequences of billing amounts that don't match $25 a day. The phone number online does not work. I reached out to the CEO on LinkedIn as well as the marketing director and they did not message me back. I went to the career director at Agnes Scott college who suggested Handshake to me. She was appalled when she heard what occurred she asked her Handshake contact to call me but they never reached out. - The Law Offices of Kathleen Flynn LLC
