The company has received mixed feedback, with customers praising the quality and performance of their bikes, particularly highlighting models like the Babymaker and Trail SE for their enjoyable riding experience and innovative design. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding customer service, particularly related to long shipping delays, inadequate communication, and slow response times for support inquiries. While some customers reported positive interactions with specific team members, others expressed frustration over unresolved issues and difficulties in reaching the company. Overall, while product satisfaction is evident, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness to improve its reputation.

Very disappointed. Bike will not assist on moderate hills. Assist shuts down. Don't buy this bike if you have hills. Works okay on flat terrain.
Not sure if I got a lemon but I've had to replace the controller and battery on my Trail SE that only has 2000 miles on it. Brakes, chains and tires, I can understand, but not these expensive components. And having it happen before the front tire even wears out?
The bike has been really fun but I think my next bike will have Bosch components.
The LCD screen on my Babymaker stopped functioning - it could not change gears down any longer - I have made do by turning the unit off and then on again if I wanted to go to a lower gear, as the warranty had finished. I have now bitten the bullet and ordered a new LCD screen - FLX sent the new unit extremely quickly - it is now installed and working like a dream - thanks FLX for quick shipping and your extreme generosity with the high shipping cost to New Zealand - thanks FLX - I am a stoked and a very happy customer - JUST LOVING MY BABYMAKER!
It's been two weeks since I ordered a new key and I still haven't received it.
Please advise.
Thanks.
FLX has been great! I love my bike and they were good throughout the whole buying shipping and assembling process.
Response times are long... even responses to open queries seem to go to bottom of pile again...
Initial response was incorrect
Finally getting a new part sent (let's see hoe that goes...!)
So far so good, just expected everything in 1 delivery, but customer service told me it was coming in another shipment, so I am happy about that, good customer service, still waiting on 1 more item.
The LCD display on my BabyMaker broke and I asked about getting it replaced under warranty. FLX support we're happy to get it replaced and quickly sent me a new one.
Hi Tanner,
We are so happy we were able to get everything worked out quickly and efficiently, feel free to reach out if you need any further support!
Happy Riding!
Very slow to respond.
Bought new bike. Took 6 weeks to get.
After only one full charge pedal sensor died.
After four weeks of emailing back and forth and even the emails took more that 4 days for response. I got a part that I had to change myself.
The after sales care is very poor. And my bike is brand new. I wonder what would happen if I was asking for help at the end of warranty period.
Quality of build and assembly is very poor. Cable connection sticks out the back very close to tire and cannot be pushed back into the frame. Prone to dirt from tire and rubbing against back tire. The front and back lights should have been feeding off main battery and come on with bike turning on. But you have to remove and take to your house to charge.
I am not happy.
My bike only charged once since I bough it. It took weeks for them to get back to me about it and multiple emails from me requesting guidance. Finally, they sent a new battery few weeks ago. It haven't arrived yet. I ordered my bike in April got it by the end of July, rode it just couple times until it stopped working…. And is collecting dust since I can't used it due to the poor customer service and warranty support. My investment was to use it all summer and I couldn't.
Ordered 6 weeks ago. Delivery was planned within 7-14 days. Since there no Bike for me. 3-4 Weeks later I asked about shipping. No valuable Feedback. 1 week later again mails to FLX. No feedback at all. Then a feedback that they have problems with shipping provider / carrier. Now again no feedback at all. Very bad experience. Don´t know if the company still exist or what the matter is. Don´t know what´s next. Started request at Paypal to reverse my order and get money back.
So much nicer to ride with my front brake rotor running true and not dragging thanks for front brake rotor a pleasure to ride now
I have maybe 30 miles on this bike - it is a road bike and I prefer my Spincity Commuter for my daily rider. I started receiving an Error 30 on the display when it was out of warranty. Replacing the display for $90 did not resolve the error. Replacing the controller for $70 did. I am very competent and comfortable doing maintenance on all three of my bikes, including the hydraulic disc brakes, and the change out proved far more difficult than the tutorial video would lead one to believe.
While it is a very sleek and smooth operating bike, I would NOT buy it again. There are more robust stealth ebikes from more experienced builders with better warranties available. Get one of those.
Had an item marked delivered but wasn't actually shipped. That's not the problem though, it was being ignored for about week until I found that out what I paid almost two thousand dollars for wasn't actually lost in the mail but wasn't even shipped at the moment. Then after I am made aware of this I decided to cancel the order several times before I got a "your bike is on the way!" Notification. I would hate to discover what hell hoops I'd have to jump through if anything was wrong with the actual product.
Original display on my 2020 FLX Babymaker bike no longer worked properly. I replaced it with a new display. Not really happy about that.
Customer service won't talk to you, they won't answer the phone or call you back. They hide behind e-mail. Don't expect them answer any questions or clarify anything. I ordered a med/large frame by mistake. I immediately I sent them an email to correct the order to a small/med frame. I made repeated inquires regarding date of delivery and never got a call back or an email. Eventually I was fed up. I cancelled the purchase through my credit card company. Then FLX emails me (still no call back from customer service) blaming me for the delay in shipping. And they are sending the bike out for delivery even though I don't want it any more and I have cancelled the order as I have lost confidence in this company based on the lack of communication from customer service. Trek, Specialized, Cannondale, Giant all are professional companies who have intact customer service departments, with representatives who you will speak with to resolve any misunderstandings and answer questions. I know that I can count on them for support, if issues arise regarding the their product. I would rather pay much more for a bike and know that I have the support of the company behind the product. Dealing with FLX it feels much like you are just interested in pushing orders through. If I am stuck with this bike that I longer want I know there will be no helpful support from FLX.
I was an early backer of the Babymaker on Indiegogo. After many delays, the bike finally arrived. Not an easy task, but I assembled it myself, charged up the battery, and took it out for a ride. So good so far. When I got home I plugged it in to recharge and nothing. Nada. Bubkus. Wouldn't charge. I then engaged in a long and fruitless email exchange with mechanic Marc Reyes who said to take the battery out of the frame and test it with a multimeter ($70 at Home Depot if they are in stock.) That was a hard no from me. I'm in Chicago, nowhere near anywhere that will even look at this bike. So now it's just a heavy, expensive clothes hanger. Ugh
FLX was quick to send a replacement even before they received the damaged bike back.
I got a message from a customer satisfaction guy, who asked if I was ok with the bike in spite of late deliveries of both bike and necessary parts. I told him I love the bike and had forgiven them, but had a technical problem which he referred to their support. After a quick initial response I have now been waiting for a week and a half for a reply, which is pretty frustrating as I don't feel safe riding the bike.
Great bike, handles well in all terrain, fast and sturdy. Can be used both off-road and for commuting, so very versatile. Have kitted it out with los of touring accessories adding extra weight but with such a powerful motor, it is hardly noticed. Delivered in a timely fashion on a pallete to prevent knocks and bumps which worked well. Test rided it and was impressed with the power and speed. Lots of fun!

Dear Bill,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing some difficulties with the performance of your single-speed, pedal-assist ebike with a 350-Watt motor, particularly on moderate hills. I understand how important it is to have a bike that meets your needs.
It's worth noting that the performance of an ebike on hills can vary based on a few factors. The speed at which you can ascend a hill will depend on your individual expectations, rider weight, and skill level. In my personal experience, I average about 9-14 mph on moderate to steep hills with a similar setup.
If you're looking for more power and speed on hills, we do offer models with 500-Watt, 750-Watt, 1000-Watt motors that can provide greater assistance, allowing you to cover terrain with less effort. You may find these models better suited to your specific needs.
Here are some options you might want to consider:
• Step Through 2.0 - Comfort commuter eBike – FLX Bike
• F5 Trail - Hardtail Electric Mountain Bike – FLX Bike
• Bandit II - Fat Tire Scrambler ebike from FLX Bike
• Blade 2.0 - 1000W Belt Drive eMTB – FLX Bike
Please feel free to explore these options, and if you have any questions or would like further assistance in choosing a model that aligns with your expectations, don't hesitate to reach out.
We're committed to ensuring you have the best ebiking experience possible, and we appreciate your feedback.
Warm regards,
Team FLX
