Ordered what was supposed to direct plug in side markers and they were too long for plug in. Called Recon with worst customer service and will not provide a return label and charge 20% restocking fee on something that wasn't my fault.
*** I would never purchase from them again*** Paid almost 300 dollars for a 150 dollar part, they shipped me the wrong part and I requested an exchange. After I paid 50 to ship the wrong part back- they told me that they do not refund for shipping costs. Then proceeded to charge me another 50 after the wrong part that I shipped back arrived at their shop. They stated in order for me to get the new/ correct one that I would have to pay and additional 50 for the part.
By far one of the worst companies I've ever bought from! Beware that their pictures and videos on product are very deceptive and the products are cheaply made! Then there is there customer service, they lie to you and charge you 20% when you send their garbage back to them even though the rep says they would lower the return cost! Beware! They are terrible!
Ordered over 200.00$ worth of lights for my Chevy 3500 nothing fit right and only one light out of four even worked! I will never order anything from them again! Also no help with trying to return the stuff!
I purchased the Air Dam lights with smoked lenses in December 2021. Installed them in January 2022. Since then I've had 9 light's stop working. I followed the instructions to the letter and even added a wiring harness wrap to protect the wires. I also used Dielectric Connector Grease to protect from moisture and corrosion. The company has offered a discount for new light's but doesn't back their product especially with ongoing issues since purchase. They have been responsive via email but impossible to reach on the phone. This is even more frustrating especially since this is a brand new custom built truck that I take pride in. Being that the light's are labeled as LED I would think they should last longer than a couple of weeks and only turned on for MAYBE 2 1/2 hours a week.
I will admit that in the short time that all of the light's worked it look's amazing and I got a ton of compliments but look's horrible otherwise.
Ordered on 5/29. Order total was around $350. On 5/31 received an email that the order had been completed and after a few days without receiving the order I accessed their website and looked up the tracking information. The FedEx tracking information was bogus. Reached out to customer service, said the product was out of stock but would ship within a week. 2 weeks later no product, reached out again, same response. Two more weeks, reach out and exact same response. On 7/7 when I got the same song and dance again, I stated I would prefer refund. They have had an interest free loan long enough. Was told the only way to make that happen was to email a specific individual, did so on 7/7. Have called multiple times since then have yet to get anyone to process the refund. As of today, 7/20, no refund, no product, nothing but run around from the gorecon.com AKA Recon Lighting.
My son really loved all the LED lights I bought for his Chevy truck. He is the one who told me about this website so he should love the gifts I suppose. After seeing the lights installed in the truck, I gotta say it was pretty nice. The guys there were real helpful in finding what I needed.
I have been looking for a third break light for my truck and have found this to be difficult. I have ordered lights from another company and the products did not fit and I was hit with a restock fee. So now Recon did not have any details on their website for what specific truck the lights went on. No big deal I thought. I reached out to their customer support and got clarification on the part and they assured me it would fit. To save myself from paying a restocking fee I asked what would happen if it didn't fit. They told me I would still have to pay a 20% fee. Tell me why if they are telling me it will fit should they need to charge a restocking fee? My thoughts are if they are correct the product won't need to be returned. This made me avoid ordering from them. Please be careful ordering from them.
I purchased the smoked headlights for my 2021 Silverado Custom and purchased the optional LED light bulbs. After 1 year one bulb flickers and the other one is noisy with a bad fan. They sent a replacement for the flickering bulb a week later I noticed tho other bulb is noisy bad fan and overheated they cannot sent me another they want to sell me another set the bulbs were $600.00 dollars the headlights are well made but do not buy the bulbs they both failed in a year. I even paid shipping on the first return. Beware with this company I'm starting to see a lot of bad reviews
Gorecon company is trash. I reported my issue of the driver side taillight going out back in February 2022. 4 months before the warranty expired in June 2022. Gorecon sent me two wiring harnesses on 2 separate occasions to see if they would fix the issue. Neither did. It was discovered that the issue was the light fixtures were allowing water into the fixture and shorting out the board. I sent pics of all of this including close ups of the resistors being burned.
All this is documented in emails.
After no response to my last email, I called and spoke to a gentleman who later identified himself as the owner. I asked the gentleman/owner to please send replacement lights being that the ones I had have a manufacturing defect that allowed water inside the fixture which shorted out the board. The owner then told me he would not replace the lights because, at this point, they were out of warranty.
Wait a minute!
I replied that this issue was reported well within the warranty (as documented in emails). He then got very rude and unconcerned. He then told me all he would do is offer me a discount to buy a new set!
WHAT?
This company has zero integrity. DO NOT BUY/SELL THEIR PRODUCTS!
Evening of Oct 5,2023 I made a online purchase from GoRecon on $700+ led taillights. The next morning I received an email from them saying the product was shipped and they supplied a FedEx tracking number. I check the tracking number FOR A WEEK AND HALF and FedEx kept indicating they never received the package from GoRecon. This caused me concern so I emailed their support department with my concern. I immediately got a response that their email inbox was full so my email didn't go through. That caused me more concern, so I telephoned GoRecon. Doing so I was never able to get through and was transferred to voice-mail and got a message that there voice-mail inbox was full, so couldn't leave a message.
I ended up filing a claim through PayPal to cancel the order and get refund of my payment.
During this process I started checking reviews of GoRecon. The site on found gave GoRecon a 83% DISSATISFACTION rating.
