Bought the shirt in April 2024 and seam ripped out in elbow in Oct 2024. I asked the online chat and the response was, sorry there are no warranties.
I ordered 3 shirts online. I am certain that I checked size 17 32/33 for all three shirts. Before placing the order I reviewed the sizes on the screen and placed the order. When I received the online confirmation, one of the sizes was wrong. I then sent an email to their address to correct the mistake. I did not receive a return email confirming the request for correction of size. The next morning, I called their mail order telephone number and told that the order had been processed and was ready to ship, but the customer service department can not contact the warehouse, so a correction could not be done. So this company has a customer service department that does not read their emails nor can they contact their warehouse. Why bother?
THIS IS A PIECE OF $#*! COMPANY STAY AWAY FROM THEM I BOUGHT ONLINE A SUIT AND I ASKED FOR EXCHANGING NOT MONEY BACK THEY SEND ME MONEY BACK! NOT RECOMMEND IT!
I purchased a suit from them. They had to order in the pants. I tried on the suit and discovered that the waistline was a45 not the 36 I needed. The salesman told me that I was mistaken and my story was impossible. After some time I told him that I had called yesterday and the pants were in the hold area.
Never have I experienced such rudeness from a salesperson. This was at the Milford, Ct store.
Well I did my Trying on my tuxedo my pants hem came down. The gentleman said he would that fix it pick it up tomorrow. Which I did upon trying it on one hour before my daughters wedding both hams by dragging on the floor. I took it to the cleaners near my home and he took care of it. I wouldn't rent or buy anything from this establishment
Jos A Banks store at 4601 Creedmore Rd.
Suite 107
Raleigh NC *******
I do not think I will ever be back. The entire staff walked around me like I was not there. I had looked at the website and saw that they were having a clearance sale. I walk into the store and they were chatting among themselves. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE! No one says anything, to me at least. A white guy walks in behind me and gets the red carpet treatment. I have experienced similar treatment at another Jos A Banks here in Raleigh in Cameron Village. You can learn a thing or two from Chick Filet. They appear to want (almost) everyone's business! At least they say hello when a customer walks in! Is there a culture of poor treatment towards black people in your stores? If so, no problem. My money is as green as anyone else's and I have no problem, I am actually happy spending it with people that at least pretend to want my business. I see why you all are laying people off.
I placed an order on 9/14 for my son's birthday for 3 shirts and 2 ties and it with a promised delivery date 9/20, day before his birthday. Soon as I confirmed the order it showed 1 tie had shipped, wasn't sure why the order was separated. This one tie was was finally delivered on Monday 9/26 (promised delivery date of 9/20). Two of the shirts were delivered 9/27 (again promised delivery date of 9/20). One shirt I was emailed on 9/27 that it is not avaialble? A regular cotton blue dress shirt is NO LONGER AVAIALBLE. Very disappointed they didn't meet their delivery promise or inventory promise. I also went to their website to contact customer service before these orderes were finally delivered and the instructions was for YOU to contact the carrier. Never again will I use their website!
My first time going to this store for my son. I walk in, no once welcomed me. My son and I walked the whole store and not anyone in that store offered or asked if either of us wanted or needed any help. We found something we wanted to purchase and this fool, black dude with locs was on the phone, he knew we were waiting to be checked out and not one time did he or this other idiot with yellow or orange hair tell us we would be right with you. I had to seek this other idiot with yellow or orange hair to check me out, when she gets to the register, the black dude magically gets off the phone. I cam back and got a refund because I refuse to buy anything out of this store. The whole time my son and I was shopping the black dude was in the chair like he was at home. The MOST unprofessional customer service I have experienced and I go to walmart alot and when I come in walmart, they speak. Will never shop or refer anyone to this store or establishment.
Today I was at the store on 1650 Market Street in Philadelphia PA ******* and I tried on 4 shirts. I decided to buy 1 because the markdown price sticker reflected 4.99. I walked to the back to be checked out, the associate was talking to someone else so I looked at some more items. He then checked me out and the 4.99 sticker was gone and reflected $ 9.99. I brought it to his attention, and he said the sticker says $9.99. It's not the 5.00 but the principal. I believe the sticker was removed. If I ever go back to this store I will take pictures before bringing anything to the register. I will also contact the DGM and the corporate office.
DO NOT SHOP HERE! I originally shopped with the Jos A Bank in South Park area of Charlotte. I expected so much better service. I went in there to get a custom tuxedo made for my wedding. I was promised it would be available by a certain date so I can pick it up and travel out of state for my wedding. Upon the day of pickup the tuxedo did not arrive and come to find out, it hadn't even been made yet. Nobody communicated a thing the entire time. Piss poor customer service. I was then told they would fedex me a completely different tux to the place I was getting married, which they did end up doing. I ended up having to get married(the most important day of my life) in a tux that was rented and didn't fit to my specifications. I was very much stressed & felt my big day just didn't matter to them at all. They ended up giving me like $50 off my custom tux I paid for, which I ended up getting weeks after my wedding. It wasn't much use then. Fast forward 18 months, I decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves. This time, it's my oldest sons prom. I figured we would just rent a tux and it was no way they would screw this up. We picked everything out with an older black guy who wears glasses and sounds like he is from the UK(whom wasn't much helpful at all the entire time), but thats who they gave us to work with so thats who we worked with. This guy's customer service skills were very poor to say the least and he was very much out of touch with how kids want to dress for them prom. He wanted so badly to put my son is some big wide leg suit thats ugly as hell. I showed him an exact picture of my son in a tuxedo and told him this is the exact look he is going for. Also in the picture my son is wearing a tux from jos a bank, from my previous wedding. So I'm not sure what the disconnect was with this guy. So finally he understood the look and ordered the rented tux. We came back in days later to pick it up and OF COURSE its a wide leg big $#*! suit and there was nothing they could do to give him the look he wanted. They wasted our time completely and I asked for a refund. I ended up having to go to Express to just buy a suit which fit him perfectly and was the right fit but I spent 3 times as much of course. The manager got involved but he wasn't much help at all. This location is literally the worst Jos A Bank's I have ever done business with and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. "DO NOT" trust them with any important day of your life because they 1000% will screw it up and all you will end up getting is some punk $#*! apology and a few dollars back. The entire staff there is complete with out of touch morons who don't have a clue what the hell their doing. I honestly can't believe they actually earn income doing this for a living. As someone in sales who works with people daily I know all about giving an iconic experience and the Jos A Banks in South Park literally provides an experience from HELL. BUYER BEWARE!
I was trying to purchase some items online. The credit card transaction was approved, however, the company told me the transaction was declined. I contact the credit card (AMEX) company and confirmed the transaction was successful. I ask the reasons code for the decline but the representative was unable to provide me with the information. Financial institutions ask me for a reason code, but the store was unable to provide me. I do not recommend it the purchase at all.
I've been to many stores over the years getting clothes for my boys. I have to say I was so impressed with this store. I've been to other stores and did nothing but wait around for 20 minutes only to leave. At this store, I was told someone would be with me shortly. Within a few minutes a woman, Taj, helped us. We told her what we were looking, she took my son to the other side of the store and sized him up just by looking at him! I was impressed. I took my other son there the next day to get a suit as well. They did the alterations, ordered what we needed, and we were all very happy. My sons can't wait to go back to get another suit.
Horrible, absolutely horrible. The Charlotte JoS A Bank couldn't figure out sizes, Tux came with buttons falling off and no "real" vest, some fake thing with no back that was very ugly even though we were assured a full vest-told by Ukrainian manager(don't know her name) that what do we expect, it's a rental, as if I should expect for near $300 to pay for garbage which is exactly what we received. Told them we didn't need some of the accessories, charged us anyway and said there is nothing they can do about it. Called them next day to see if they finished repairs and they left me on hold over 30 minutes, when I finally got there took them 20 minutes to find the tux as they had no idea where it was put. Will NEVER rent from them again. Was told by same manager if we wanted a decent tux we should buy one because we can't expect rentals to be of any quality since they are recycled forever and if we have a problem with it we should contact the warehouse. They take no responsibility for this inferior quality garbage. Do yourself a favor, go anywhere but here. Also manager did not want to help us figure out how to attach this thing they called a vest. Seemed to be missing parts.
Erick from Milford is amazing at what he does has a great demeanor. He handles what comes his way efficiently and with a smile. He is absolutely top tier when it comes to customer service. This store benefits greatly from having him on staff.
I have been in many weddings (only as a groom so far) and this was by far the worse company I have interacted with. We thought with this being a more expensive place that it would equate to good service and product. We were so wrong that it has been a joke among the group. I paid more than double the price than I have at competitors and the service was horrendous. I don't want to write a large essay so I will stick with bullet points,
-Appointment at 12:00pm, wasn't acknowledged until 12:20pm, wasn't helped until 12:40pm.
-Was rushed the entire experience, did not feel comfortable enough to slow down the worker.
-Was not treated with respect or manners as I was used to at competitors.
-The tailor stated, "I know kids like you like the pants tapered at the bottom." which was peculiar seeing how I'm almost 30, and very hairy.
-Salesman did not state the shoes were optional even though the groomsman wanted it to be expressed that they were. I found out within an hour of purchase and called them to cancel them from shipping it and they refused, even though their website states they don't ship until 3 days after purchase.
-Total amount came out to be $606.15, which is when I realized, if I am paying that much, why are they acting like they don't even want me in here?
I want to give more than one star, because maybe it was an off day, but, to be honest, I don't want to go back to find out.
Walked in the sale person ask how she could help. I told her i wanted a black suit she had me try on one jacket it did not fit my mid section could not button it up. She took the jacket back and said she could not help me and trold me to go to a different store.
I'm hesitant to write a negative review because the staff at the store I went to in Bryn Mawr we're very nice and helpful, but beyond that things seemed to go wrong. I got fitted for a custom shirt, and honestly not sure if it was the measurements or just incapable people at the tailor department but it came out way too large. Mind you I am quite short/small at 4'11" and 150lbs, so not a routine sizing but still I thought that was the whole point if a custom shirt. So they size me up again and send it back abd I asked for no monogram. They make another shirt (didn't alter the original) identical to the first one, way too large and still with the monogram... so either they didn't read the new measurements or just weren't capable of doing it, I don't know. Needless to say I got my money back. Short story, if your an unusually sized individual do not bother getting a custom anything ar Jos. A bank.
This is not my first frustrating experience with JAB. As a tall man my choices are somewhat limited to maintain some sense of fashion and I mistakenly thought that I finally found a good source. From custom made items messed up to ordering some "Traditional" size Sport Shirts and consistently receiving "Tailor Fit" size Sport Shirts two times in a row. So I am thinking with this ship running this way it wont be long until it sinks. What ever happen to taking care of the customer? Yes, I got my money back but only after I drove 15 miles to get it.
The employees at the Jos. A Bank in Brookfield, WI helped me out in an absolute pinch. Needed a tux that day and they were able to help me out through the process, even were able to match me up with a tailor who was able to hem the pants to my fitting, all within a few hours, on a Sunday. Made the whole process easy with no stress, including the financing. Deserve a tip of the cap!
Update from the below review:
They have spent probably 6 hours on the phone with me today straightening this out. The computer glitch is what it is. They searched to find a suit comparable as close to me as they could, since the time for shipping is now past. The drive to get the suit is 2 hours away. They are giving us a gift card for the difference in price from what we originally purchased and what the other suit will cost. While we were upset and let them know it, they were calm, patient, helpful, and very gracious. What started off as a horrible impression of this company has changed to be truly the best customer service experience I have ever had.
**Please see update above.** If I could give them -20 stars, I would. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them carefully putting together a suit, shirt and tie for my husband (father of the groom). Days later, after not having received the tracking number, I called them to find out the status. The status is this: The order was canceled - didn't you receive an email? NO, I did not. The order was canceled because the billing address for our CREDT CARD was a PO box. Since when is that an issue? All of our credit cards go to the PO box, and not once has that been a problem. So the alterations are set for 2 days from today; the wedding is in just over a week, and we don't have a suit. DO NOT BUY! I can't believe how much time I wasted with them. We live in a rural area so just running to the local mall to buy a nice suit is not an option.
Answer: An agent answered after 4 minutes, but the experience was unsatisfactory.
Answer: Guess what. They saved a buck and squeued you. Banks loves your money, not you.
