I tried uninstalling and installing it but it said "something happened on our end" and it keeps asking for microsoft edge's latest download! Come on, I have microsoft edge (latest version downloaded) but it still does not work! What else does this thing WANT! WHY THIS THING?! I pay good money for good apps, not ones that don't work. In a world were identity theft runs rampant and everyone is told to keep and hold tight to any usernames and passwords you have because you don't want them to fall in the wrong hands. MICROSOFT requires you to know the username and password to anyone to whom you would like to make a purchase for? It is 2am and I have been chasing VC that was purchased 2 hours ago. Every store I have EVER purchased VC/digital games from sends a code via email within 15 mins. Then the purchaser can redeem or gift someone to redeem on microsoft's gaming platforms. I googled my purchase and decided microsoft was the safest online purchase. I WAS DEAD wrong! I clicked on the link to purchase but was REQUIRED to sign in to my microsoft account to purchase. NOT 1 time during this transaction from your store was I informed my purchase is ONLY transferrable to devices associated with this microsoft account. NOT 1 time was an option given to alert the consumer that if this purchase IS NOT for them - LOG out! How many unspent dollars from 80 year old grandparents get lost in your bank account because your process to purchase/refund is excruciating? I will never purchase a microsft product from microsoft again. They won't even claim their company on consumer sites.
I'm always scared to get viruses on my computer and I was about to buy online a software to clean up my computer to take safety precautions.
I have been going back and forth with Microsoft products and apple products with the pc. I will continue to have an apple product for certain things and Microsoft for some.
Please never purchase anything from the MICROSOFT store, why? They have completely automated there password reset if you lost it you will never again be able to reset your account unless you have old credit card numbers and passwords. You will be out all the money you have spent and nothing you can do about it.
Part of my package content was stolen during the delivery. Microsoft doesn't offer any kind of protection. Amazon is my new source
Initially it seemed to be inconvenient, but I got adjusted to microsoft store quickly. I download themes for my desktop, install all crucial applications in a blink of an eye. If we compare installation process when you download something from the net, then it's far slower.
So, I'm glad using it and can't understand those scolding it.

This is such a terrible downloader. Use steam or anything else for games. The microsoft store takes ages to download something and it doesnt even show you the percentage its at. So stupid. Never use it. Just use steam for games or download apps on chrome

I was trying to buy a Surface laptop. MS sales is broken at every turn. The specs said one thing, but no model was offered with those specs. I went on "support" chat and got a message that they were closed after 6PM PT. The time was 3:30. Then I called "support" and got someone who I could barely understand and he had trouble understanding me. After much frustration, I said forget it and hung up. Later, I received an email from MS (Microsoft Surface <*******@email.microsoft.com>) offering me info about the Surface (which I already knew). I emailed back to express my disappointment with MS and the postmaster said the email didn't exist. So, I went to Lenovo and found a much better laptop with everything I wanted for $1000 less.
I got an HP laptop for about $2100 from MS store last year and it said it came with the extended warranty. One year later the warranty they offered doesn't exist or they don't honor it.
And the HP laptop has had some many glitches.
The MS ecosystem is just so so sadly.

There's a arbitrary limit of 10 devices and it's the dumbest thing I could have possibly thought of imagine having multiple pcs and then being forced to make entire new accounts just to download apps on multiple rigs
Been trying to order an Xbox for a Christmas gift, first my credit card blocked the purchase thinking it was fraud, got that approved and resolved now Microsoft won't let me order. They told me there was a 24 hour block on my account because I tried ordering it so many times, waited 24 hours and Microsoft won't allow the purchase to go through. Spent an hour on the phone yesterday and still nothing resolved.
I haven't really used microsoft store on my laptop much, as I didn't think I needed games on my laptop, but I do have a singular online game that updates frequently. So the game was going through one of its updates, and I was unable to update it because every single time I opened up microsoft store to update the game, it closed. The one time I used it, it was completely unable to help. Don't use it, its completely unreliable and fragile as glass.

I purchased a app from the Microsoft store that I was able to download and use the first day. When I tried to use it over a week later I couldn't. I tried to troubleshoot, I even attempted to uninstall and reinstall, all this was to no avail. I asked for a refund and did not get it. I was finally able to uninstall and reinstall today 16 days after purchase and I am being prompted to repay for the same app I purchased, When calling MS I was on hold with rep 15 minuets to be told I was at the wrong department she then transferred me without assistance where I sat on hold almost 20 minuets, I am very disappointed.
Do not buy anything from Microsoft store, you will never get the correct product, AND you won't get your money back! 2 months I have been dealing with this, they shipped the wrong product in the box, called immediately to get the process going. They made me buy the exact same product for a 2nd time, and said they would refund me. There are no humans that answer the phone, cust support is online now, and you just go in circles and it brings you back to where you started. I returned the wrong product shipped, but still have not seen my refund over $1600. 00! Microsoft store is horrific, this kills me to say it but go to Best Buy (not much better) or a store you can physically put your hands on the product when you purchase it!
