Clear cache, update browser...blah blah blah... still cant log in most of the time. No real matches based on my preferences. Waste of time and money.

Scammers. This should be zero stars!
I joined yesterday and answered all the relevant questions. I added photos of myself and then got on with other things. That evening, I went to log into the website and my email address was not recognised.

Today, I sent an email to customer services to find out what was going on. I was told that there were some inconsistencies with my profile so I have been blocked from the website. They actually wanted me to email them a copy of both my drivers licence and passport to verify whom I was. Scammers...Do not send your personal details to a random website that has more complaints than anyone enjoying it. They actually seem to allow real scammer on their website and discredit real genuine people. It would not surprise me if most of the profiles were from genuine people who are blocked and this is why most people will never get a response!

Personally, I think they saw a black lady and blocked me because they are racist. Anyone who knows me know I am honest. And anyone who knows me, knows who I am. I am so glad I did not provide my bank details!

DO NOT JOIN THIS RACIST THIEVING WEBSITE.

Been on the site for just over a month and have had more contact with men who are definite scammers. And it seems their algorithm is broken. More contact with people thousands of kms away than local.
Avoid this site. You're wasting your money.

I joined about 3 weeks ago. Not impressed. For the first couple of days I got a few matches that were local, but now all I get are 100% out of state matches, half the matches have no picture or a completed profile. How is that even allowed? You shouldn't be able to post a profile until you're profile is complete and at least one picture is up. The handful that were local were poor matches as far as commonalities go, and the two that actually wrote vanished into thin air with no warning. I believe it's called ghosting. I call it rude. At any rate don't spend your hard earned money. It's the same crap as all the other dating sites.

Since I'm over 70 I thought SS would be the perfect site to meet a good man my age. Sadly I was wrong! 9 out of 10 of the matches who reached out to me or I to them ended up being fake scammers! After my first encounter of be stood up at the church meeting place I started communicating with SSCustomer Service based in Berlin. GERMANY. Nice representative that apologized and assured me they were working on it. They have standard language response that I get each time I email SS about another fake person who has contacted me. Now I wonder if SS customer service is for real because it the same "sorry" response? And they have no credited my account as i asked. I've demanded my money back that I paid upfront 6 months (required to even communicate with anyone). I NEED SS to tell me they will give me my money back and cancel out my account and all thevdata about me. Im so disappointed. I've spent so much time and effort for nothing!

I was looking for a website to find someone to become close to. I tried the popular one POF but in order to respond to someone or read a message you must pay a fee. I found this app silver singles and the big advertisement was free. I thought I'd give it a try. What they failed to tell you joining up is free. But to view the other person's picture send them a message or to read a message you must buy their premier package. These websites should be banned no one to waste their money on this crap. At least POF will allow you to see the other person and let you send one message her day on their free membership. Still looking for a alternative to these dating site.

Absolutely terrible site. Locked me out, no explanation given, then they required personal information to no end. Extremely frustrating dealing with these people. I live in a large metropolitan area where there are many options. My matches were far away, Tucson and Palm Desert. I would not recommend this site and they are not worth any stars!

There are NUMEROUS profiles of "women" that are fake, and there is a pattern that they follow. Most of the "female" scammers are foreign born but have lived in the US for a while. They live outside the distance parameters established on my profile. Parents are dead now and always self employed. They also are out of town on a business trip working on a contract. They spend about a week enticing you to fall in love with them. When they think they have you snared, they ask you to either send them money or material things of value, such as a computer, iPhone, etc. In many cases they claim to have been robbed and lost their phones and computers. Just remember. Once they ask for money, it is no longer real.

The vast majority of contacts I've received from Silver Singles are from fake profiles. Its so easy to spot them, they post 1 photo and put little to no effort in writing their profile with scant to very little detail. What a waste of money.

I signed up for a one month subscription of 79.00 after about 10 days I could no longer access my account. After about 20 email to customer support I did get a reply they told me of the information and verified proof that I paid. Pain in the $#*! but I did and have since sent additional information about another 20 emails with no reply. While I was on the site there are many more fake profiles then real ones. I suggest to future people looking at this site stay away do not give them your money cuz once you do you will never hear back from them if you have questions.
I suggest their management team do a better job. I will never ever use SS again and I suggest no one should.

This is a true copy of a paragraph in the dating app. It was rejected! The following is cut and paste. I question their probable docially biased justification. Otherwise there is not a reasonable cause of rejection of my statement.

I am an Orthodox Christian with traditional social values. I am tolerant, non judgmental, well educated, cultured & I can be creative. I am calm, kind, soft spoken and have a charming accent. I am thoughtful, attentive, easy to talk to, avoid confrontations & trustworthy. If there is a tear I will take wipe it. If there is a virtue I will support it. I was told to be romantic. I like walking, swimming, traveling especially to Europe, gardening, cooking, music, museums and of course the beaches.

As well as other statements. Number of words does not exceed their requirement.

I contacted them after I received a notificatin my password was changged, which I did not do. Then was told I didn't have an account since 2021 and upon inquiry told the name was changed. They did not cancel or close the account after I provided the requessted ID. I went in and closed it, but I don't know if they had access to my billing information. They should have closed the account and taken info down when I provided my information to them. So far they have not done a thing to protect me or my information. Nor the people I was in contact with. I then logged back in to the closed account and deleted my profile, which I guess I should have done in the first place. But no one told me what to do. They are useless.
PS half the men that contacted me were scammers and phonies.

I cancelled my subscription on time but they went ahead & charged a new month to my card.In! Month service i got! Reply THIS SITE STINKS! RUN AWAY FAST. Iwas getting pic from 3 states away.

80% of the matches provided by SingleShingles were a farther distance than the mileage range that I had set up in my profile.
50% of the people they listed as matches were later identified as nefarious and avoid giving them your credit card.
I contacted Silver Shingle (my name for the website) about these issues and they were never addressed.
And I was a paying customer for their shoddy services.

Most horrible site I have ever seen. My preferences were not met, on the contrary they sent me anything they had. There's no protection for re-use of your photos. I added watermarks to prevent re-use but they refused to post them. Most matches who communicated with me were fake. I saw the same photos with different names/age/city several times. The site has no control. They also allow non-members who have not paid AND do not have photos up to contact you. I contacted them twice but to no avail

I live in Central Arkansas. I was overwhelmed with "matches" that live in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Kentucky, even California. That was after my preference of 100 miles. I complained and was told to make my preferences stricter. I did. 50 miles and rigid age bracket, race, religious preference, etc. I haven't received a match since, it's been a week.
