You moved your call center out of our country. How disgraceful. The people at your call center do not speak good English nor are they very knowledgeable about what they are trying to sell. Splash wines should be ashamed.
We did not have a good experience with Splash Wines. We've used Splash wines several times in the past but this time it was different. I've recommended this company to my family and friends. No more. I received an email to call and see if Splash wines can make the process be better but I called and all the guy said is that you received the wine last Saturday. I'm aware but it took three weeks to a month. I'm not sure why the email asked to me call that #. I did. Another wasted phone call. Thanks.
The Fed Ex delivery experience was Terrible!
They delivered my wine but failed to notify me of delivery-so it sat at a Dollar General for 4 days before I found out that it had been delivered. The box of wine contained 18 bottles, 16 of which had screw on tops, and many of the bottles were plastic. If it looks too good to be true, it is. Plus, all the bottles were dirty and covered in dust. This was my last order!
While I did receive Splash Cash of $10 for my bad Bottle of Bordeaux I would much rather had a replacement so I could decide if I liked the wine. But you essentially said it wasn't worth the effort.
The company and service is very good! However, I thought when I ordered a subscription I made it clear that I wanted a $20 bottle wine to $30 bottle of wine. What we received was bottles that arranged from $6 a bottle to $8 a bottle individually online.
Just called your customer service phone number at *******311 about the below email with the offer for 12 bottles for $69.37 - I clicked on your "Shop Now " button and it states the same offer. There then is NO offer for $69.37. Your customer service person stated she has to put me on hold as this is a "glitch" in your system which has happened before". To me, the customer, this is FALSE ADVERTISING. Please pull up the call which your recorded message states that the call is being recorded. I have ordered from your company before but this situation and call with your customer service person put a very bad taste in my mouth. I am not sure about ordering from you and lost all faith in the credibility of your company. There are many other online wine companies with similar pricing. Please advise.
I do not want any more 18 bottles of wine in a box. Too wade to handle. Hard to get in my car, too wide to go through a door, and too wide to carry down the stairs. The last CO I used to buy from had 15 bottles per case> I may go basck to them if you cannot correct this.
When there is a question or problem you get routed to a non speaking, non comprehending person. If you continue you wind up wasting your time and having to repeat what you are calling about or put on hold while an answer is found. At that point asking for a supervisor is another option... but not much better.
The on line system to order and explore wines looks like it was put together by a first year student. No cohesiveness and sometimes different information.
Selection of wine has also gone down hill. Their"return" no hassle policy is anything but. Corks that will not come out of the bottle and many others dry and hard to extract. Not a sign of a quality wine.
Was given a small credit ($30) for wines that would not open only to find out you can't use is on your membership subscriptions but have to order additional product. This company sells itself as the best, most popular. NOT
Waiting on shipment placed 6/22. Now 6/30 I hope to hear status soon. Normally shipment is smoother than this.
I've been a customer for years. They sucked when they first started- didn't deliver as they promised. They got a lot better over the years even though the wine was mediocre at best. They've come full circle with customer service. From adding a mandatory signature fee even if a state doesn't require a signature to absolutely useless offshore people that answer the phone (I can't even refer to them as Customer Service) and to delayed shipments. I have been watching an order placed 5 days ago and it has yet to be sent to the carrier. Speaking of which, I asked for FedEx because their signature fee was cheaper but it looks like Splash Wines switched it to UPS. I placed this order because I had a 25.00 credit. This is my last.
I have been a customer abt 7 yrs. I loved talking to the coast with their knowledge of the wines offered before placing an order. I loved the free shipping and splash cash incentives. Now orders online are very uncomfortable and annoying with the AI voice each time I click. The toll free phone is off shore. Hard to understand and does not have knowledge of the wines the way usa team. They also couldn't give me personal preference. Example the 18 pk usually its 9 white 9 red. I asked for more white couldn't deviate but usa team did!
Shipping there's a fee except If being shipped to a drop off location. Pick up for a sole person is extremely inconvenient in the city. The beauty of getting huge cartons to my door still exist with an additional fee Splash has changed. More expensive in all ways yet less expensive for splash company to hire outsourcing order takers It's back to my local liquor store for great sales.
What can I say more about this place that other 1 star reviews haven't covered. Their website is super buddy and terribly designed with the functionality of it. Not easy to order wines there. 2nd attempt at doing business with them: I bought gift card for my mother on her Bday... Well... not emailed gift card with instructions sent. Still waiting for it and it's 8pm now and of course... no one there in customer service to help today. Great! Thanks for ruining the surprise Splash Wines! P. s - and you can save me the patrionizing "customer service" response there "Chief Operating Officer". Spare us of you trivial attempts and worthless talking points... "so sorry you had that experience with us..." non-sense! LOOK AT YOUR CUSTOMER REVIEWS ON HERE! They're T E R R I B L E!
I gave this company a second chance thinking maybe the first experience was just a fluke—but it only confirmed how low their standards are. The selection I received was unimaginative and uninspired, with multiple bottles tasting flat, stale, or just downright unpleasant. One bottle was clearly spoiled, and another had sediment that looked like it belonged in a science experiment. Customer support wasn't helpful either—no effort to make things right, no apology, just a generic response that didn't address the issue. For a service that claims to offer curated, high-quality wines, it feels more like they're just clearing out the bottom shelf. I won't be making this mistake again.
Ordered 3 times at 79$ only received 1 order thru Groupon, it's a Scam. One minute they can see order ext representative says cannot!
My husband and I decided to sign up for a club to try new wines. Splash claimed it was one of the best, it was not outrageous in price and we had the option to get 6 bottles every other month. Seemed almost perfect. First box came less than a week after signing up and communication from the company seemed good. We eagerly opened the first box, and there was no tasting notes sheet. No retail wine price listed like other companies do. I started to Google each wine and discovered they were all $7-$8 retail. The subscription pricing of $60, averaged each bottle at $10. I didn't expect a deep discount, but didn't expect to be overcharged. One bottle was also outdated. They sent us a 5 year old moscato that was. Very strange tasting. I canceled the subscription.
I received an order flyedterday and after opening up the box, I was very disappointed to find three of twelve bottles open! Actually, one bottle had no cork and two other bottles had the cork almost all the way out. I had to dispose of the wine because of rancid taste.
I will NEVER order from them again.
I nave been purchasing Splash Wines frequently for around four or five years. I was one of their biggest fans. I earned a lot of points which I could save up and use to buy a heavily discounted case, sometimes even a free one. I even became a "Founder" member of their Wino club to rack up even more points. Their wines were almost always good with a seldom bad bottle. I have left many 5 star reviews in the past.
Recently they started "expiring" rewards points if received more than six months prior. If that was not bad enough, they also limited the number of points that you can redeem to $25.00 worth. None of these policy changes were ever shared with their customers prior to adopting them. This makes it extremely difficult to ever redeem their points without buying a fortunes worth of wine.
They currently owe me for three shipments of wine (I was attempting to use up some points before they expire). One is supposed to arrive by Wednesday of this week (2 days from now), prior to Thanksgiving.
I still have received no conformation of delivery or a response from their customer service. I anticipate having to fight to get my remaining wine.
Stay away from them until you start hearing a lot of good reviews after they reverse their policy changes.
I have been ordering from Splash Wines over 2 years, once or twice a month. My last 3 orders have been completely screwed up! They have about $245.00 of my money tied up!
They are now horrible! Do NOT order from them!
They use to be great but since outsourcing, they are horrible!
Buyer beware! I ordered a special Pinot Noir box, which was supposed to include four "Captains List" bottles. The price was much higher than what I ordinarily pay, but I was very excited to get the advertised Willamette Valley Pinots.
When the box arrived, there were only 11 wines (plus one empty space), and none of the Captains List bottles.
When I asked for the missing bottles to be shipped, they said it was too expensive. Instead, they were only willing to offer a partial refund that was based on the average cost of all the bottles.
Bad service, shady practices!
I have bought wine from Splash wines (or whatever they are calling themselves at the moment) always hoping for the best...instead I'm always disappointed. You would think the least they could do in throw in at least one mediocre wine now and then. Instead they offer nothing but low rung wines that probably wouldn't even make the bargain bin at the liquor store. Never again.0 stars.
Answer: I was a member of WSJ wines and they were more expensive and not as responsive.

Answer: VERY EASY, JUST CALL THEM, NO LONG HOLDS! OR EMAIL!
Answer: I received 7 bottles of White wine by accident. Within two days they sent me 9 bottles of Red wine to make up for the error. I drank the White wine as well.
Answer: Very easy. I call their 800 # and I get a customer service rep almost immediately.
Answer: Super easy by phone or email. They are very responsive.
Answer: Definitely a legit company. I've ordered over 30 cases of wine from them and all of them have been received no problem.
