I recently had an extremely uncomfortable experience with Universal Immigration Services Canada while inquiring about a Working Holiday Visa. After an initial phone consultation that felt friendly, the representative quickly shifted gears and began aggressively pressuring me to pay an upfront fee of $500 AUD to "begin the process." I mentioned that I needed time to do further research, but that was clearly not received well. The tone changed completely, and I was hit with guilt-driven comments like "But this is your dream, right?" and "Well you do want to come to Canada, don't you?" It left me feeling cornered and deeply uncomfortable. I later discovered that much of what I was told was misleading—such as implying I had to go through them in order to get a visa, which is completely untrue. Everything can be done independently through Canada's official government website. What concerns me even more is that I originally shared this experience on another platform (Trustpilot), and after submitting detailed information and even screenshots of emails from the company, my review was still taken down after they flagged it. It's disappointing and feels like a clear attempt to silence critical voices. Seeing that this company has now been flagged on Sitejabber for suspicious review activity only reinforces what many of us are trying to warn others about. This was a real experience. I'm sharing it here because I don't want others to feel the same way I did—pressured, misinformed, and then silenced.
