I have made an online order, with Hollister advertising "free shipping" for orders higher than 100$. To my surprise, when receiving the package, UPS charged me with 40$ "release fee" which is is a handling fee that was indeed paid by me.
I wrote to Hollister and demanded the 40$ back, based on their advertised statements that the price includes shipping and handling.
My request was wrongfully denied.
Never buying there again!
Absolutely horrible. My daughter found a shirt. The only one that was her size was on a mannequin. They refused to get it off and refused to sell it to me. We used to shop there all the time. Never again.
I had placed an order, but the amount was different in the cart, and the Tax amount changed again after I completed the transaction. This is annoying. Even the articles were on buy one get one 50% off. Still, as I added two to the cart, it did not half the amount of the second article, making coupons falsifying the customers to indulge in shopping and overprice the same product. If it is on sale at $ 55, the coupon must be applied to the current value rather than the product's original price. MISLEADING...
I shop at Hollister often and I received Gold Status after I made the $ 49 remaining to get the incentive. Well, well the 2 items that I purchased were to big so I took them back to the store and they didn't have them in stock for exchange so they refunded the purchase and reordered It wasn't my fault they didn't have the clothes in stock, and they punished the customer because I had to return the item and lost my gold status! I am very disappointed with the way this was handled!
My daughter received couple of outfits for her birthday from this horrible store which I had horrible experience shopping there in past to begin with.
Unfortunately, the outfits were too small. I went to exchange size. Only size SAME ITEMS. They told me that I had to pay extra $30 because the prices went up. WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT? Since when?
Were they going to give me money back if the prices went down? They refused to make the exchange without me paying the extra $30. I WILL NEVER SHOP OR TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS STORE. I HOPE THEY CLOSE OR GO OUT OF BUSINESS.
I ordered 5 items they delivered only 2 items in that packet. However they are claiming that they included all 5 items and they are saying it could be Fedex issue and asking me to track them by calling them,, They are not even paying be back for the missing one.
They have a worse delivery system. I would prefer to stay away from Hollister's online orders.
I bought a top and wore it one time. It got bumps on it. The store would not take it make back nor customer service.
I tried several times to log onto Hollister online. Kept getting an error. When I finally did I tried to check out three times with 3 different payment methods. The site would not allow me to place the order. So I called. Could barely understand the rep, but finally was able to place the order. I received a confirmation email followed IMMEDIATELY by a cancellation of the order...with no explanation. I called and the rep couldn't give me an explanation either. He said it would be a few days before I would hear from someone. I can see the charge is on my credit card though. Honestly, a waste of an hour for nothing. You get the feeling that they don't want to sell you anything. How are they even in business? What a totally screwed-up company.
If you need to return or exchange an item and you follow the procedure as stated on your Holister receipt please be aware that it is misleading and a fraudulent representation by Holister in an attempt to make it as difficult, if not almost impossible, to return or even exchange the item. Holister will insist that you also have to have the tags that were on the item. This is contrary to what you are told in the written information on your receipt.
I was only happy with two out of the four items I ordered. For starters the pants I ordered weren't very good quality. And very unflattering. The material of the bra I ordered seemed of poor quality as well. Not at as soft as I would have liked or expected. Also I expected the panties I ordered to be soft, but they were not. They were a standard spandex material. I was however happy with them anyway because I loved how they fit, and seemed like they would hold up well. My bigger problem: Returns are not free I guess? Or they we're only going to give me a partial refund. Because it showed I was not going to get the full refund. I wish they would just send a return package, for what I consider an 'easy' return. Unfortunately they only have two options in terms of returns which are: ship from a UPS store, OR ship yourself. Both of these options have you going out of your way to: 1.) buy or obtain something to ship your order out in yourself. Or, 2.) drive to your nearest UPS if you have one close to you. These options are extremely inconvenient for those of us that live outside of City limits and don't drive. Needless to say I'm so disappointed with their return policy. And I don't think I will order from them again.
I had pick out a jacket which came out to $104 and some change. I gave the cashier a hundred and a twenty bill and she gave back two fives and five one dollar bills. I was incredulous since I just saw her take a stack of 5s from under the drawer. I asked her why she gave me all these ones and no reply. I asked again why she's giving me all these ones and no reply and a male worker next to her says "Oh, she has made a mistake." and no apology. I left and an hour later my gf discovered they had forgotten to remove the anti theft tag on the jacket so had to go back. This time different lady at the cash register and only no apologies were given, she didn't utter a word. Just looked at us with these strange smile on the lips. Since we are Asians, I had joked to my gf " Is this company related to Abercrombie or what?" Well, well, well... Is it a coincidence? I had seen 4 workers and none were Asians. Needless to say, I will NOT EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!
Gilly Hicks used to sell my FAVORITE perfume LaPerouse. When they went out of business no more perfume. I was excited to see Hollister said it was back! I ordered 2 bottles! When I got it I sprayed it and YUCK NOT THE SAME! It smells like cheap drugstore perfume and is a fake! DO NOT BUY if you loved the old one! You will be quite disappointed
I will never buy again from here! The customer service refused to reimburse me after missing few items in my order. I called to get a refund and they told me to contact the courier! Like what nonsense
Bought jeans and they ripped in the seat within a year. I live in College Station, TX don't and have a Hollister within 100+ miles of me and the inventory was very limited here so I bought scarves and picked them up while on vacation. I opened them when we returned home and the men's was scratchy and the women's had little balls all over that looked like it was washed wrong. I had to call twice to attempt to return them as I didn't get the return label emailed as expected. The CS could be better if they improved upon their listing skills as each time I had to repeat myself as to why I couldn't return to a store. The 2nd call was when I was first told about a $7 shipping fee policy that would be deducted from my return. I will not shop here again and will stick with stores that have a good return policy and great customer service.
My name is Elizabete and i live in Portugal EU. Since December 23 i have been trying to do a shopping at HollisterCo in order to send to my son who lives in USA. 3 times they canceled my order and i done everything they said; changed regions, called a Customer service in US, spent 1hour and 15 min on long distance and placed a manual order, called the store in NH; used the Chat like 5 times, used Messager to char with agent, had my sister who lives in USA to order for me with her card. Absolutely nothing worked till now and my son still doesnt have his gifts. It's terrible, has been a truly Nightmare.
Had the worst experience at Hollister, Route 18 East Brunswick. A simple size exchange for a pair of birthday jeans for my son became the most horrible experience. The store manager/supervisor, (I think John is his name?) was beyond disrespectful, condescending, loud and unprofessional. Just awful. Take your business elsewhere!
I bought sweat pants for my boyfriend. Size large. As he always is, and he wore the one pair for the day to see how they are and they seem to be a bit small fitting. We got 2 pairs that day. We brought back both pairs and tried to exchange them for a bigger size and they lady told us we can't exchange them because there isn't tags on the ONE PAIR! We do have the receipt for it. And it clearly says holister on it and I could walk to the back of the store and find the same exact pair on the floor. All I wanted to do was exchange for a bigger size and she didnt even let us do that. I spend a lot of money in this store so I am very un happy and most likely will not buy from this store again, because why couldn't I exchange them if I have the receipt and item right in hand? ON TOP OF THAT I HAD THEM FOR LESS THEN 24 HOURS…. So bottom line is. I am stuck with sweat pants that don't fit anyone! That was supposed to be a Christmas gift, and the store is quite far from me. Very unhappy
They took my money didn't give me my coat the didn't replace it they said they had a pic of it on a porch so I was delivered so they only care about them self nothing in insured so buy online at ur one risk cause if someone steals ur package it's ur fault they don't care and they just hang up on you over and over till you give up never shopping here ever again
The products are really good and it's easy to find my size and items that interest me. I haven't been impressed with the service at Hollister lately. The sales associates are sort of standoffish and not welcoming at all. I was pretty much ignored even as I walked around the store looking for what I wanted. I eventually approached one staff member myself. Their tone and interest wasn't that great and I actually was left feeling that I wish I could find the items somewhere else so I would not have to shop there.
It happened the next time as well. Even when I thanked them for their service, I didn't get that great a response.
Hollister used to be much better with their customers I feel. I'm not really that motivated to return any time soon. Good customer service matters in my opinion.
I guess I'm not the only one to complain about the service. I get it, you're young and inexperienced, but only one staff even greeted us, time to try on? Place was a ghost town and you need staff to open the doors to let you in. Lines were long to check out and only one register was open. The other 4 staff were doing put backs and chucking it up at the front even though they clearly saw many of us waiting.
I hopefully won't have to go back.
Answer: If you go to their website to they have a 5 star rating. However, in my opinion, that is because if you checked out as a guest, you can't login to the site to view your order much less leave a review. In my experience, there's a reason a company has bad reviews. This company is not a beginning mom & pop store, there's no reason they should be greedy and charge for returns. As for quality, the store is tailored around the teen/early 20's age group, who are still learning how to be savvy, informed consumers.
Answer: Legit i buy all the time from them. Especially their jeans. They have a great variety. Although, they have a big ego and it shows on most of their clothes. I personally don't like tops that have the shop name on them, but Hollister is a brand ig so yea. But i like their jeans.
Answer: Just a horrible customer service experience over the email, in the store. No refunds yet and kept getting the same reply over and over again.
