This company uses a name that is deliberately misleading to make you think you are booking direct with a hotel. If you want two names on your hotel, you are out of luck. There is no place on the reservation site to name the second party and if you call these clowns, they have no idea how to add the second person. 45 minutes of being bounced around and they can't add the second name. I cancelled them and booked direct with the hotel
I booked a stay in Bolingbrook, IL at a Hilton Homes2Suites establishment. There were a few things that did not add up. One, they double charged me then refunded me 1 night instead of two of the nights that they double charged me. I called and spoke to "Daniel" with customer service. I'll now be contacting my credit card company and filing fraud. Secondly, they overinflated the charge and then hit me with an $18 service fee. The rooms rates were cheaper on the website than these scammers charged me. They need to be shut down. *******781 is the number I used. I'll be sending a review to the BBB as well as the state of IL for their practices.
I thought I was booking thru Marriott but some how it changed to this website without my knowledge! I book many hotels for work and could not tell until I wanted information on my final bill. I called the direct line and the male talking had issues pronouncing English and was sort of badgering me. He was not helpful. I had 3 days of extra fees charged to my CC. I am contacting my credit card company to assist with removing. They are conveniently sly. Do not book a hotel if you see 'reservation counter' in your email

Total scam. Led me to believe I was talking directly with the hotel. I had to cancel, and they would not follow their own cancellation policy even for a partial refund. Beware. If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. Additional information: Don't be fooled by the kind response offered to these reviews or in your email. The outcome is the same as it was when I first asked them to honor their cancellation policy. They will not. Don't believe them if they say there is a full refund before a certain date and a cancellation fee after a certain date. You are not getting a refund. They claim it is the fault of the hotel, but the hotel is not the ones who send you the confirmation with the cancellation policy at the bottom. When you write or call, they pretend to care, but the answer is always the same: 'The hotel said no.' The hotel never offered a refund of any kind. That is why I booked with these scammers. Don't throw away your money, pay the extra at the hotel, or you will be sorry.

I stated that I was trying to connect directly to the hotel to inquire about a dog-friendly room. I thought I called a Fairfield location desk, and after a minute, she said there were no rooms available, but another hotel nearby had a room. It wasn't in the same hotel family, so I am mad that it didn't alert me. I offered my IHG #, but she said it wasn't necessary. I was quoted a rate, and I asked again to verify that it included our pet. She said it did. Then at the end of the call, she told me it was nonrefundable and I needed to call the front desk to confirm our pet. I called and they said there was a $55 pet fee in addition to the Priceline rate. I was so ticked that she lied to me. She knew she was lying. I will NEVER use Priceline or the Reservation Counter accidentally again. Fool me once!

Booked Hotel with the expectation i would be receiving the government rate(Federal Employee). However I just found out that i would not be receiving the GOVT RATE. For the record I am staying with several other employees from the same company all of which used someone besides Reservation Counter and are receiving GOVT rate. If you are a GOVT employee do not use this site!

Booking #*******396 Name Stuart Cojac. I have called you 5 times about an overcharge. I was quoted a total price $244. Per room per night. I was overcharged $368.11 You agreed to credit $17.99. The balance of $350.12 is still in dispute. On my 5 calls you keep saying this will be escalated and I should hear back in 5-7 days. This never happened

I cancelled my reservation 2+ weeks ago and have not received my refund. I cancelled my room within the allotted timeframe and was told I would receive a refund within 3-10 days (minus the processing fee). I have since sent an inquiry through the site and have tried calling. It's extremely disappointing that I'm unable to get an update or receive a response on this matter.

Person I spoke with, spoke very fast, difficult to understand, did not listen well. Got my email wrong despite repeating it multiple times, used alternate callback number as my actual phone number on the reservation, hung up before I could ask for a confirmation number, and since my email phone number were wrong, I didn't receive it. Called back and they cannot make changes, only a note on the account so now I can't search my reservation online either horrible experience. Read the fine print so fast and kept saying all of the information will in the email which I never got because they got my email wrong. Very shady, nonrefundable. Would not recommend using them

I called to book a resort. The resort was full and they talked me into another "Resort" across the street. Needless to say after I booked, it ended up being a 1 star Days Inn which has recently been reported for bed bugs.

When I called to book a room, I was provided with a room and was verbally told I had 14 days to cancel if I didn't need the room. I called to cancel and was told I could cancel BUT THEY WOULD NOT RETURN MY MONEY THAT THEY HAD ALREADY CHARGED TO MY VISA. They also booked my reservation for a hotel in Canada in American funds. Don't use this booking service. I strongly disagree with their alleged policy.

I you use this website you will pay way more than you will get. I paid for 150 per night for a good room and this service turned around and booked a cheap room for 105 per night and the hotel gave the room they got paid for, not what I paid for. Very dishonest. And then charged a reservation fee as if that was their cost for doing business. VERY Dishonest. I will make sure my company of over 1,000 employees is notified that this site should not be used for booking hotels.

I was traveling with a group of students and was told the rooms i had could sleep 4. We could only sleep 2 and I had to rent 2 other rooms when I got to the hotel. Thank god the hotel had available rooms. The manager was not impressed with this company.

We had plans change and needed to come in 1 day later, we were told we could not cancel or modify the hotel dates in any way, and we still needed to pay the full amount. This was OVER a month before we were supposed to check in. Customer service was rude, and incredibly inconsiderate. DO NOT EVER USE THIS WEBSITE! They are scammers, who essentially steel from their customers.

Zero Stars. Unfortunately, they make you pick minimum 1 star. Lots of red flags. I was made to think I was booking directly with the hotel, when asking questions, the person on the phone had to put me on hold while they looked up the rooms to share what they included, the agent also spoke so fast as to confuse you and get you off the phone, making me feel like it's a scam. Only when I was transferred to a "colleague" to answer shuttle questions, was I made aware that I was transferred to a third party travel agency from the original travel agency. I am now in conversations to get my full refund as they say it can take up to 10 business days. They charge the amount in full, I cancelled within 30 minutes, they say there is nothing they can do. Do Not Book with them. When travelling, please book with hotels directly. Support Local.

I booked a room on 2/6/25 at this motel on line for $188.95 receiving a non-refundable reservation, and was charged $16.79 for refund protection, which I did not have a chance to agree to, to the best of my knowledge. I was also charged a higher room rate than what the front desk said they would have given us if we had walked in and needed a room for the night. When asked to have this refunded, I received an email from Marvin L, of hotel reservations support, assuring us that a ticket was created and we would receive a refund, which was never received. Beware when making a reservation!

On January 17 rented a room at Sparks by Hilton on west side. The bathroom had not been cleaned. Decided not to stay and checked out within 15 minutes of checking in. Clerk stated she would send our checkout receipt e-mail. We didn't get the e-mail and the Hilton corporate office is not refunding the money.
We reserved 5 nights from Jan. 1,2025 to Jan. 6,2025 with the night lady front desk receptionist at the Scottsdale Sleep Inn and she charged our credit card $431.59, which included all of the taxes, for the five nights we requested. She originally said they had rooms with a king or two queens for about $100.00 a night, which would have ended up being well over $500.00 with taxes, I asked her if they had any other rooms that were cheaper. She looked up on the front desk counter computer and she said it showed that they did have some cheaper rooms, if we didn't mind sleeping in not as nice of rooms, with two smaller full-size beds. She gave us the quoted price of $431.59, which included the taxes and we accepted the five-night quote and booked the room, which was room #120. She even turned the screen and showed me what the bill would look like. She immediately billed our credit card for the $431.59. To our great surprise, after the fourth night, the manager came to our room and informed us that we only paid for four nights and we were to check out. I explained to him, what I have just written here in this review that you are now reading. He informed me that, that was impossible and that I was wrong. He said there is no such rate in the system. I repeated again what I had previously said to him, and his next excuse was that the night receptionist was fairly new and didn't know what she was doing. If that is the case it shouldn't be my problem, but his problem of poor mismanagement or training. I then began to repeat again what had happened when we first registered, and he cut me off and informed me that I was wrong and that he was right, even though he wan't there in the first place. He then proceeded to give me a new bill for the five nights that totally $542.02, which is what the night lady said was for a king or a two queen room, but we were in the cheaper two full-size bed room and that he didn't care otherwise. That was a total of $110.43 that I was being overcharged. I concluded that I would call and talk to Choice Hotels that this Sleep Inn is associated with, but the person there that I talked to informed me there was nothing they would do about it. So, from there I had my credit card company try to dispute it, but still to no avail. The manager refused to work with the credit card company on the matter. The end result was basically that the manager was calling me, the guest, a lyer and that he didn't support or back his night receptionist, whom he said that she didn't know what she was doing, even though he was the one responsible for her training if that is the case. For whatever reason all these things were my fault and not his. From my experience I guess the guests that stay at Sleep Inn and Choice Hotels surely don't come first, if not, at least with this Sleep Inn manager. I would like to be at least reimbursed for the $110.43 over charge, if not completely reimburst for the way I was treated, but if not I will not stay at another Sleep Inn or Choice Hotels again, due to the poor treatment and disrespect shown my wife and I as paying customers and supposedly guests at the North Scottsdale Arizona Sleep Inn. Also, keep in mind that they don't give you a paper bill until after you leave, so you are at their mercy if they choose to play the game of bate and switch or whatever you want to call it that was done to me.

Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
